Hello everyone!

This is going to be a series on foundational terminology and concepts when it comes to LLMs. I thought it would be a good idea to take these ideas from the larger sphere of AI and boil them down into bite-sized articles for you to read here. What I'll do is focus on one key term or concept when it comes to AI and create an article that you can read in 5 minutes or less. I'll try to map it to ServiceNow products or technology as I can so that you have that linkage between the industry concept and how we use it at ServiceNow.

The [AI Alliance's Guide to Essential Competencies](https://thealliance.ai/docs/guide-to-essential-competencies-for-ai.pdf) and what I think the community should know. What I'll do is cover the foundational terminology in the competencies guide and other topics relating to AI and LLMs. I invite you to comment on posts on other topics you would like to discuss, and hopefully, we'll get a pretty good compendium from this series that speaks to all skill levels. Before we get into the topics, I do want to mention that ServiceNow is a member of the [AI Alliance](https://thealliance.ai/about-aia), and hopefully, we can have some guest contributors in this series speak more about what the AI Alliance is doing and how you can use their work in your learning or careers.
