Re-Order The UI actions Displayed on Servivce Operation Workspace (SOW) for a Record

Import · Jun 21, 2024 · article

We have seen some requirements on re-ordering the UI actions Present in the SOW .

Let's learn how to meet the expectionations, for this Article am going to use Indident Record, but the configurations remains the same for all the records ( Change,Request,Problem, incident, etc..).

Step 1: Type "sys\_us\_form\_action\_layout" on the App navigator :

Step 2 : Type "\*SOW" on the Action Config Column and look for Incident record:

Step 3: Open the Incident Record

Step 4: Before making any changes , make sure you are in the right Application Scope, for my example "**Incident Management for Service Operations Workspace** application"

Step 5: Scroll down in the record and look for the related list called " UX Form Action Layout Items"

Step 6: Change or add the order of the labels (UI actions):

**Result :** Before and after the configuration:

Note : InfoMessageUnify actions to merge Form Action Layout Items, Global UI Actions, and Global DAs into a single consolidated list. This will make it easy to control the display of actions in the layout including order, visibility, and color treatment. After merging, actions will no longer automatically be inherited and new global actions will need to be manually added to the layout. This cannot be undone.

Which means you can also use the other Related list tab called "All Global UI Actions " and "All Global Declarative Actions" to make changes to other UI actions on the same form.

Hope this Helps you in your learning Jouney !!
