hi everybody thanks for joining us today my name is Kim bean and joining with me is Curtis Barry and Scott Town said we're excited to show you how service now is enabling large organizations to align to missions that evolve at lightning speed now you might notice all the acronyms after our names and it's basically our way of saying look everybody we've been studying we are passionate about the subject but honestly it's not just for show it's because we have dedication to the project management World Curtis is actually a release train engineer and an agile coach in the federal space which means he's basically a professional multitasker and Scott who's a senior manager here focuses on our agile functionality he's been in the SPM space for roughly 20 years since you were a child right Scott basically yeah and the first of those eight years were focused on Consulting before he moved to product management where he is focused on a range of areas including traditional project management Resource Management agile and hybrid methodology all things project management that's a lot and you did not pay me to say all that it's really impressive so um to me I've been in a project management world for over a decade as a project manager myself and then a pmo director and let me tell you my calendar has more colors than a toddler's crayon box and not only that but each member of my family has their own colorcoded appointments on my calendar anyone else or is it just me I I hope it's not just me I've also overseen over a thousand implementations of service now using various methodologies also at the end of our presentation so stick around we're going to share our contact details so feel free to reach out to any of us if you have questions or you just want to discuss the finer points of project management all right let's get started today we're going to be talking about overview Which is my area Curtis is going to give you a demo uh we're going to have an amazing roadmap discussion and then contacts and next steps doing a little housekeeping again we may be talking about forward-looking statements later on in the presentation so make sure you hang around and stick with us it's some good stuff so we are really inspired by the diverse range of titles that are represent presented here these are all of you that signed up if not more and we think that it's really neat that everyone from a branch chief to project manager to client partner you're all joining us today and the reason why we point that out is because at the end of the day all of you are focused on achieving the same goal I often hear from my clients the same message they want one single place of record one area for data reporting one tool that has all the different methodologies in it something that makes them faster less time less money of course always uh and I feel that like even if I had that in my project management world I would have been much more successful and my life would have been a lot easier I know a lot of you can't answer but if you want to put in chat is that something that resonates with you as well what we're going to show you is that we have built a flexible tool that can meet you at the journey that you are in to help you also then help you get to the Next Step agile has been a Cornerstone of how teams work for almost two decades and it has given you the ability to deliver solutions that better meet your mission's needs often like I said in less time and for less money large organizations are adopting planning and an approach that you cannot do without technology also matching that and constantly updating to adhere to it agile also makes it possible for teams to move quickly and adapt to Market development safe offers offers a durable Foundation which may assist you in your organization with your tasks resolving problems more quickly and providing better outcomes to your missions it includes a framework that makes it apparent that what is happening at each stage of the Project Life Cycle is going to be successful for you a safety net that aids in Risk identification early on risk avoidance by modifying scope or time frame and also customer trust building ultimately the most important piece by uniting various disciplines across our platform I feel that we truly provide a comprehensive solution for managing your resources finances and projects in an Enterprise scale a new era of project management is beginning so let's talk about Enterprise agile planning we continue to invest into our Solutions and solicit feedback from our customers and provide them multiple releases throughout the year Enterprise planning is an example of that we heard from our customers this is what was a need and so in our last release we enhanced a more unified user experience and provided more flexibility in the application which is truly exciting for our users and Curtis is going to show you that today before we get into it we're going to throw out a poll because there's so many people on again as I said we want to know we're going to cover things that matter the most to you we also want to make sure you're awake still and then I'm going to hand it over to Curtis after that um great so uh hopefully we're going to be uh hitting some of the major pain points um that you're facing in your in your scaling Journey for those of you that are already there for those of you that are on the cusp of one for those of you that are ready for that next step in your journey um so we're going to talk a lot about Enterprise AO planning as Kim had mentioned uh we're also going to show a little bit of strategic portfolio management which I'll refer to a decent amount throughout the throughout the presentation as as SPM um and that really is that strategy component right so if you're not familiar with strategic portfolio management that's where that that that the strategy meets something like Enterprise aile planning and the execution of of the of those of that strategy so uh I'm going to focus a little bit on Enterprise AO planning and then I'm going to show you some of that strategy element and how you could maybe see yourself and some of various roles that you might be engaging in your Enterprise aile Journey maybe you're a portfolio manager maybe you're a a product manager maybe you're an RT uh scrum Master whatever there should be a little bit something for everybody in here uh that we really want to show we really want to dive in and show you um so I'll talk a little bit more about Enterprise a planning to start before we jump over there so I'm going to make sure this transition Works y as Kim mentioned right we wanted to build something that gave um that gave folks the ability to scale their way right all of you had mentioned in the Paul that you're coming in and different points of your journey and we want to be able to meet you where you are on that journey and help you take that next step help you get started whatever it may be we want to be able to help you to to to scale your journey your way right so we see a lot of that flexibility when when I when I jump into Enterprise a planning itself um you know also like Kim mentioned right every you know a lot of our our customers are really interested in having all their data in one place they want to make informed management decisions and you could be getting data from various sources uh throughout our platform and we want to also give you something that is able to leverage that data you're getting from elsewhere within the platform and be able to help make those strategic decisions um and and and ultimately you know affect output against the output of uh output of epics or features or capabilities so you can get the mission accomplished and then also on that Journey um you know as most of you had mentioned in the poll some of you are different points of that Journey so we want to be able to meet you where you are on that journey and get you started and then also give you the flexibility to grow and evolve as you scale so maybe you come and start with an essential configuration of uh and then you're ready to progress to that full configuration of safe you don't want to have to do some big large cumbersome lift and shift of tools to get all of your data in a new place so that you can go do what you need to do right and I'll show you an Enterprise how to play by few clicks of a button how you can easily kind of um evolve your solution train based on the configuration that you're that you're growing to so maybe you grow from an aile Release Train you want to add in the solution train concept um or bake that into your portfolio management rate however you want to do that you'll see that kind of ability to evolve as you go through and I think one of the main reasons we're here right is um how do we how do we mimic what inspired you know agile in the in the in in the first place right that those collocated teams that're all in one room operating off of the same information radiators you got scrum boards posted notes sticky notes all over the place how do we take that in the environment that we're in now where we're in geographically dispersed teams we're in hybrid teams we're in the office a couple days a week we're at home a couple days a week but we still want to skip a beat right we want to make sure we're still driving that asynchronous communication as if we're right there in person with one another so um as you'll see as we get into Enterprise aile planning it within you know our strategic portfolio management workspace and specifically Enterprise aile planning how you can see all those various levels you don't really need to leave and go anywhere else you're getting all that information in one place to drive that asynchronous communication right and um as we're evolving right Kim mentioned this is this is a a relatively new product so we're iterating as well so one of the things you'll see a lot of in the in the in the future and Scott will probably talk to later is more integration of gen gen capabilities and how you can leverage that to do things like synthesize your Sprint plan or synthesize a collection of product Fe feedback to make sure you're getting U to to streamline your ability as a product owner or product manager to write new features to write new epics capabilities and make that that all more simple for you as you go through um your daily task and then ultimately and this is a little bit about why we're going to show some strategic portfolio management as well um and show you how you can align your teams to that strategy uh and then align your teams within Enterprise a of planning together so that you're all all of your art teams are looking in one space or all of your release trains are looking in the same solution train space and on your portfolio is one drop down away to be able to see all that information so with that being said um I want to hop over and show you a little bit about Enterprise a planning B we're going to get started like I said at our in our strategic portfolio man or strategic portfolio in work space to be able to show you the flexibility of how that strategy ultimately meets the execution that you're going to see in Enterprise agile planning so one of the things um that we really love about the flexibility or of of strategic portfolio management is you you have the ability to come in and view your data via multiple lenses wherever you sit within the organization and I've worked with a lot of a lot of uh a lot of product managers a lot of portfolio managers and they've got to get a brief together for they've got to get a brief together for one stakeholder so that's going to go in PowerPoint they've got to get another brief together and they spend a lot of time building these briefs and these road maps and these visual representations based on which stakeholder they need to show it to so wouldn't it be nice to have something that you can come in and intersect with at your level and be able to show um and slice and dice that data via road map however you want to look at that for that particular stakeholder that you're trying to show that to uh so and there's a lot of configurations out of the box that we offer and if you don't see one here that that that fits your model um easily kind of configurable to make your own lens as well but you can see there's a plethora of options and we're going to focus primarily on um project portfolio and then our feature lens here today as we kind of explore how a portfolio manager or a PL or product manager might interact and help in their in their Enterprise agile planning Journey um so uh first thing right looking at that lens we we get a lot of demand so the great thing about what our strategic portfolio management um tool does is it gives you the ability to to to centralize all of that information that's coming in so as a portfolio manager you get overwhelmed with a lot of requests a lot of Demands uh new projects new epics um that you need to do you've got teams working in different manners that you need to be able to execute every one of those right you might have a traditional waterfall project that doesn't necessarily fit within your Enterprise a planning scope you might have a demand you need to evaluate and figure out how that's going to get executed but you need a central place where all that information comes in and you can ultimately go through and and look at that in Ju deposition to all those other priorities and prioritize hey what's a should have what's a must have U maybe you use the way to Shorter sh first U scoring methodology in the in in the in safe and you can easily kind of score uh score your work so that Nets you a score and you're able to I'll show you on the next screen where you can rank that to be able to to be able to um you know show that in an organized fashion excuse me but but realistically what we're doing is we're visualizing all of that work that we have in our funnel and making an evaluation of what we're going to work on what our teams are going to focus their attention on based on whatever score and framework we might use to be able to articulate what the value of that particular feature or epic or demand or project is uh so I'll jump over over to so now we've gone through we've we've looked at the totality of all the work that we have and now we want to actually see how that ranks out um you can see now that I've got a little bit more flexibility in moving things around where I was just scoring on the last page so now I'm in that planning aspect of it so I'm in planning mode and I'm looking at those scores and I you know I want to rank everything by sorry Zoom didn't little too far I want to rank everything by those scores that I just spent a whole bunch of time compiling um so I can easily go in here and make sure that that appes and once it comes up now I've got everything ranked by that wisi score in real time um and I can see uh kind of a lot of information that pertains to that record right if we have like an approved date for when that demand came in and so on and so forth right but ultimately what we want to be able to do now with that is we need to be able to show that to someone in a timeline view maybe a stakeholder or or an executive or department head uh we want to be able to show that information in in in a road map right we don't want to spend a whole lot of time building it in Excel or PowerPoint we want to be able to show that right here in the space that we're in so let me make sure always zoomed out uh so now what that looks like um is on if I pop over to my roadmap version I I see that uh initially right the portfolio manager has this organized by product so I'm looking at everything that's uh that might have dependencies via product uh I can track progress on there too see percent complete so this isn't just a forecasting tool right it's also a tracking mechanism as well so as a portfolio manager I don't want to have to go look and do a whole bunch of data calls to find all that information I can easily come in here look at the road map watch the work as it's being executed watch those goals as they're progressing and I'll they they roll up to give me realtime data about where we are uh from a performance standpoint I can look at dependencies I can make executive decisions and move things around right here with inside the roadmap you know I can I can reach out to the the owners of the specific items or these specific epics or demands and and and ask questions and start conversations around it um and then I maybe I don't want to look at it for product I I need to show this for one particular stakeholder and I don't want to have to go build a whole another road map to be able to show so all I want to do is is come in here and just and slice this a little bit differently so maybe I want to do this via my goals right okay so maybe I want to see it via my goals now I want to organize it all right let's see all right so now I'm looking at everything in relation to the organizational goals that I'm responsible for as a portfolio manager I can look at those that that data now sliced in that way show a particular stakeholder I can see what's not necessarily assigned to a goal maybe that causes me to re reevaluate hey why are we doing this if it doesn't pertain to a goal or I can make that make that determination it aligns to this optimized flow of value goal or this increased cessat score or whatever that goal may be uh you know in in the same token I can come in and and also look from a um uh from a department standpoint maybe I need to show this by Department right but easy to slice and dice this data and you see just that real-time transaction of it based on on who you need to show it to right so your audience matters there and the uh the nice thing as a portfolio manager I have probably have multiple solution trains maybe multiple Arts that operate underneath of uh underneath of my purview and I need to be able to see where all of these epics or demands rank in the sequence of those piis so I can use Milestones to show hey you know uh configuration management has a pi coming up at pi3 I know I might need to move this work around or resequence this you know um and continuous integration has um their Pi kicking off here so I might need to move this to align with the start of the pi whatever those decisions you need to make you have the ability to see it and then make those decisions in real time with an easy kind of um easy interactive user interface and then maybe road map isn't your isn't your flavor and you want to look at it and Via uh via the A combon and you can do the same thing here kind of slice and dice this to look at whatever swim Lanes you want to related to that data uh I can drag and drop which makes it easy to assign particular items to goals right so I have this one sorted by goals but this could be anything that you really want that you want to look at in this regard but I want to be able to drag and drop those to to be able to match those goals um and and without having to go into each individual record and update that so a lot of power at the portfolio management level and you know now I've assigned that epic to a release train or a solution train and now that product manager needs to go in and and prioritize that same information um in their view right so I'll show you uh I'll show you what that would look like too right and I've worked with a lot of product managers as an as as an agile coach and I know some of the pain points that they typically struggle with and visualizing the work in an easy way is is one of those right so here what we're looking at is through a different lens now we're looking at the um we're looking at the the feature lens so now this is product manager so I'm looking at just features right and so I can look at those features across the different piis but first what I want to do is I want to score all those features so I only have a couple in here and the reason is because I have this filtered by just that particular Pi let's say I wanted to add in all of those pis to be able to look at this list in totality and now I want to go in and add you know values to my uh to uh values in the wiff scale to be able to get a good calculation on where that might rank uh in just position to those other items so easy kind of relative estimation of those work items right so I've ranked all those and now that gives me a score so when I get back to my planning stage now I can rank all these and be able to visualize it in that way right so like I said I can look at all the different pis that that I might be working with but I I can also drill this down to just look at the pi that's right on the horizon that I know is coming up in um just a few days right so I'm about to kick off a new Pi so in that regard I just want to see information related to this Pi I want to make sure that everything that's in that Pi is scored appropriately so that I can go in and rank that in the next area all right uh I got everything ranked I got a score and now I'm going to jump over to the planning page similar to what we saw for the portfolio manager but again looking at it just in the feature lens and now I can take that information that I just spent time compiling and I can make sure that's ranked by WIS score that I just assigned it on the last page apply that and now I can see my priorities in real time with that Quantified data that I just that I just inputed via the weight of shortage J first I could see which features are related to what goals right so if we're going through Pi planning this is a great kind of tool to use to be able to see to make sure that every Pi objective or Pi goal that you establish aligns to a feature right there's some mechanism to be able to carry out and Achieve that objective uh in a tangible fashion so so you can kind of see how we would interact with that here uh maybe you know you want to see the roadmap version of just your PI right same thing I've got to show my portfolio manager how we're progressing and where everything is going to fall within the pi so again I have those Milestone bookends right there at the top to be able to show hey this is where pi1 starts this is where pi2 starts I can see those dependencies between the particular between the features where they might sequence as far as months are concerned so being transparent with my portfolio manager and being transparent with my customers they can see in real time why we're making the decisions or where their feature might get released at and have confidence in that based on the data that they're seeing in real time um and then you know I've worked with a lot of product managers that that want to prioritize that love that kind of conon Lane view too so easy kind of slice and dice of that too hopping over to the conon view now I can see all those all those pis coming up and I can I can look at the features that are sitting in those piis currently and start to make some movement to ision sayy now I think we're going to do this pi2 right I can look at the weighting see the size uh how this is a small this is a large right I know I can only take on so many larges in a pi so I can start to move those things around in real time right here in uh in the Strategic portfolio management workspace all right so a lot of power at the portfolio manager and the and the products manager level that really wanted to show there um but curious right uh where are you conducting or where are you building your road maps and um you know and I've worked with uh with with with with folks in in jir as well and like building them an advanced road map and the the one thing I'll the one thing I'll say about um about in strategic portfolio management is you're not working off of some somebody's version of their plan right before it gets checked in and then It ultimately gets carried out maybe if you're using a j Advanced road map right this is like real time right you move something in here right it's there there's it's moving in real time right and you can configure this in a way that you know only certain people that have the the the need or the ability to move things move them right so you're not having people stepping on each other but that's just one kind of caveat to to that I wanted to mention having worked in both of those before um all right great but I appreciate you answering that question um and what I really wanted to show you now is how do we marry that strategy up with the ultimate uh with the execution against those mission objectives right how do how how do we how do we take this and and and scale this into our Enterprise agile Journey so one of the things we mentioned um one that initial slide that I showed was that the flexibility to scale your way right um and the great part about Enterprise agile planning now right and again it's an iterative uh we plan to introduce a lot more and Scott I'll probably talk or we'll talk to this a little bit later but um introduce more scrum agile functionality in there as well so really whatever framework you use uh there's going to be a place for you inside of Enterprise agile planning but what I'll show you today Prim arily be focused around around safe right or scared alil framework for Enterprise but but looking in here right there's multiple configurations you know I don't have to just pick one and and work within the bounds or the confines of that I can I can choose this the essential configuration I can ultimately scale to the full configuration and if you don't see a configuration in here you can build your own configuration as well right so it's maximum flexibility to really scale your way um within Enterprise agile planning and you know keeping that kind of persona Focus what we wanted to really show next was uh as a portfolio manager as a product manager as an RTE as a scrum Master what's in here for you what is going to make your life easier um from an from an Enterprise agile planning perspective um so what we're looking at here is in our strategic portfolio management workspace right we're in the the third tab here which is our Enterprise agile planning um and in here you see kind of like a tree format right what you're looking at here on the left hand side are all portfolios and it's just going off of the configurations that are aligned to the specific organization so these are all full configurations for right now and I just wanted to show you uh one we'll focus in on here is cloud transformation so as a portfolio manager right I want there's certain things I want to see there's certain information I want to interact with I don't want to have to sift through all the the different levels to make interpretations so in this regard I have my own homepage that has data that's configured for me that I need to see at the Epic Level because that's what I'm concerned with ultimately that's what I'm prioritizing and that's what we're executing against so you can see um in my homage where all my epics are by State right I can dive right into that record list and go and see the the epics that are in each of those States I can see how those epics align to my goals right because ultimately I might be responsible for goals or meeting outcomes Mission outcomes and I need to be able to show the tangible benefits or the tangible um progress of those so I can see how each epic is mapped to one of those primary goals and click into that related list as well I can see what's not aligned to a goal so again I can make sure are we work should we be working on this if if it doesn't align to any of those goals that we might be accountable for from an organizational perspective you know I also want the ability to kind of look at my backlog and make those kind of decisions on which which solution train in this configuration might this work go to um so I can do that here typical kind of uh backlog view but I'm looking at it via the Epic right which is what I'm concerned with I can make sure that hey Cloud migration is getting the epics they need I can pull one of these epics up and put them into Cloud optimization um or and then what I can ultimately see on the next tab is what that looks like from a plan perspective so again this is just focused on epics I could see dependencies um I could see the work that just belongs to the cloud transformation portfolio that hasn't been aligned to an art yet uh and I can make that I can make that switch uh real easily by pulling that down into the next place so now I've just assigned that to that art I can use this as kind of my backlog to drag and drop that with um I can connect dependencies between different solution trains um that I might have or dependencies on these items and I can do that in real time just easy click of the button and drag that up and now that dependency is created and logged in the system so I'll see that on that particular record there but I can I I know we've talked to a lot of a lot of folks a lot of customers that that that that have that challenge of being able to articulate you know hey I've got a connected dependency between release trains or maybe I have an external dependency that I need to capture and having that kind of easy drag and drop interface to do that at the Epic Level not just be confined to the story or the feature level to be able to do that um super powerful in that regard but being able to look at it from kind of a flow perspective so these are the the planning items that I have right these are the new items these are the in review items and I can move those kind of easily kind of along my pipeline whatever that funnel might look like for me um but all of that in my portfolio manager workspace that I have here and you'll see this with every level but what we have in here is we can have documents that are specifically related to those levels so in this case you know put in a couple documents hey maybe you know as a solu as a portfolio you want stakeholders to be able to see what our program our PI uh planning Cadence looks like or what our portfolio vision is maybe you're onboarding new folks to the portfolio and they need to be able to come in and ramp up quickly so they need one place to go for information I don't want to send them to a whole bunch of different places to go find that stuff so it would be nice if that all existed in my portfolio workspace where all the work lies um I can also house those documents as well so that's a lot of power that the portfolio manager has right and kind of in with that easy interface um and maybe I want to favorite that so I don't have to click through that tree in the future so I've done that and now I'm down to the solution train level and I want to see stuff that matters to me right I want to see those capabilities that have been split off from those epics and assigned to release trains I want to see how those release trains are operating so as a solution train engineer and a solution product manager I have the ability to come in here and look at that I can see where those those capabilities are sitting via State and kind of monitor our flow and make sure that's going in the right direction I could see where those capabilities are aligned to goals at the same way I did with the Epic maybe there's goals that break down to the solution train that that roll up to the portfolio manager has and I can make sure those are assigned to tangible capabilities that we can see um I can see the progress of my release trains where they are in their percent complete versus their progress um and just kind of keep the health of uh monitor the health of those solution trains as they go through their their their as they go through their piis um same thing in the backlog view I won't I won't go too much but this is now at the capability level just like at the portfolio manager we saw the Epic Level uh plan board and now I can look at dependencies between release trains so focus at the capability level and those capabilities are assigned to those release trains so I can easily see what those dependencies might be between the two trains so if we're releasing one solution as a whole uh we can make sure that we're sequencing the work in a way that makes the most sense right and I can do that with that same drag and drop interface I can make sure if I've got this item that needs to get worked I can assign it to the funnel for the art to go and now I'm giving that to that product manager to say hey um can you make sure you prioritize this in your plan because this is important and I'm assigning it to your to your release train right but I can put it in the appropriate State there and view that um same thing at the at the uh at the solu OR at the solution train level but documentation right housing distinct documentation just for solution trains makes that easy makes the onboarding process way simpler um and then now for what is kind of near and dear to my heart is a former release train engineer like having this one homepage where I can monitor my Arts progress so we're down here at the cloud integration um release train level and we're looking at our current Pi we're looking at all the data that I need to see as an RTE to help Pi planning to help monitor track the progress during Pi planning but I'm looking at that product Pi progress bar I'm looking at like total features that we've committed to for the pi can dive into that list and see those from this dashboard blocked features right because a part of my job is to make sure that we remove impediments on features and how do what better way to do that than to be able to see that right here in my dashboard if a new feature gets flagged for a block and I need to go in and and help facilitate a conversation there I'll show you a little bit more about what you can do in there in just a second but I can also see for pi planning sake I need to make sure that every feature has an estimate so that we can have confidence in that Pi plan uh before we before we accept it so I can I can make I can go and say Hey you know this feature is missing in estimate um I need this before we can vote and confidence in this plan I can look at my features by state which I'm I would be looking at every day as a as an RTE like Hey where's where the features at are in their flow um I can look at those features as they relate to the pi goals that we set right in pi planning we set you know hey we committed to these goals and I can see which which features relate to which goals I can see which ones haven't been assigned yet so I can make sure that that kind of gets buttoned up before we March out into the pi and then I also go to the dashboard of my Pi goals right so I can see the status of those goals making sure they're getting transitioned to the appropriate states make sure they're getting picked up are they green are they yellow are they red were these committed objectives or or or uncommitted objectives I can see all that information kind of in one place and then ultimately see the team's progress make sure they're progressing along their Sprint make sure they close their Sprint um and so on and so forth uh backlog level is going to look kind of the same right but now at the feature level so I won't spend too much time on that but this is really what's what's what's the the bread and butter of what what I would need as an RTE um and that's being able to have a good um a good Pi program board to be able to show during my a release train syns or my scrum up scrums and connect those dependencies in that same easy interface look at what our capacity might look like see where we're overloaded so I can make some we can make some executive decisions in those sinks about moving particular items around to reduce some of that capacity um and then seeing what that number might look like or shake out once I Mo make those decisions looking at those dependencies across teams right seeing how they might impact the sequence of how we sequence the work and one thing I remember too is having to scroll down endlessly to show uh one program board but you know I can easily expand and de expand a team to be able to show all right now we're on team two and it makes it easy kind of in that screen share environment I I can remember that being a a challenge um I can also enter my Pi goals up here um and I can enter those Pi goals that we saw on the dashboard back on the homepage which is nice and then I love this one I can look at the feature view in that funnel view right so I want to look at the art backlog flow to make sure that things are progressing in the way they should be right we've still got items in funnel if it's in the pi I'm expecting it should be in the analyzing phase at least right I could see what's in progress make sure we don't have too many features in progress at the same time look what's in validation so I can make sure those product managers are getting their approvals in so that gets done in the right amount of time and then ultimately look at what's released as well right but uh one of the great Parts about this and I can get to this from the home screen too but I'll jump in here for API rate limiting this feature um so it's blocked and I need to figure out some more information on why that thing is blocked so let me jump over to full details and and look at a little bit more information related to this feature um and what we have here is all the information that pertains to this particular feature uh any documents that have been created related to that feature any goals that are related to that Target any dependencies any items that might be related maybe this thing uh originated from some product feedback that came in uh and we want to make sure that that's related back to the item that so we can see how the full kind of life cycle of it maybe I want to dive into the particular stories that might be blocked I can reach out to the the particular folks who worked on it all in one kind of seamless place and I can look at any kind of uh images or maybe I have a configuration document there that I wanted to look at that relates to that particular feature uh or I can start a discussion which is a really nice part so you know hey we we really got to talk about this feature this feature is blocked so I'm going to reach out to Ria and Eileen and we're going to start a chat and that chat is going to get pinned in here so you know we don't have to have an email conversation about it we can say hey check the status if I could type checklist status right um and now that conversation is going to get pinned back to the feature record so it stays there all right um a lot of capability at the feature level um and real quick before I want to just make sure we're cognizant at time here but um we have I want to make sure to show kind of what scrum Masters and the team level what information or data they have here to interact with as well so just like we talked about at the art level with all the capability in there it within the Sprint well as well like the scrum Master the product owner can keep a pulse on what's going on in the Sprint how many stories we got story points what's missing an estimate kind of the same thing we' look at as an RTE what's blocked that I need to go remove impediments for what are my sprink pools that are in progress that might relate up to those Pi goals monitor those right here from this spot um look at the stories based on their flow you know make sure that everything's progressing the way it should be uh I get a Sprint burnd down a Sprint burnup that I can that's based on the real time execution data I can look at my velocity over the past few Sprints to make that informed decision for the next Sprint to make sure we're not pulling in too much work um same thing at the backlog level right uh being able to look at my user stories uh being able to look at my daily planning board that I'm sharing in my daily standups like hey here's what we got in Flight here's what's coming up um and then those team onboarding documents too super important to get somebody ramped up on the team so that we're not um so we're not spending too much time uh if we need extra folks to join the team they they can easily kind of come and find all the information they need to to be able to uh get ramped up as quickly as possible so that's just that showed a lot of kind of capability within Enterprise agile planning and how that might be able to help meet you where you are in your current journey and and help you scale to that next level uh and that's a lot about what we have in the tool currently but as we mentioned it's an iterative tool and I want to turn it over to Scott to um to give a little bit more about where we're going um next in EAP so I'll have back over to slide and I'll turn it over to Scott all right now thanks Curtis so hey guys Scott Townsen I'm on the inbound side of the product management team for SPM U just a reminder you know what's on the road map is forward looking and can change um and in fact we want to get your feedback today which could could actually influence where things happen on the road map uh but the the big thing that I'd like to highlight here is that we're continuing to invest I know we have a lot of good functionality or at least I think I do think we do but we're maybe in my estimation 60% of the way there so we have a number of things we still like to improve on uh I won't go through everything but I do want to highlight a couple key areas for us um usability you know we have enh enhancements coming in November but ease of use remains a focus for us uh and so we'll have additional kind of enhancements coming with each release um as Curtis mentioned you know additional flexibility is high on the list uh we initially leaned into the uh safe methodology but EAP is designed to support a wide range of AO methodologies uh so we just plan to make it a little bit easier to toggle between conbine scrum a scrum and safe um another big area is Integrations we recognize a lot of uh customers out there have teams using a variety of tools and so we want to invest in the thirdparty tools as well as make um EAP have even more seamless connections across the platform uh especially around those hybrid use cases where you're combining aspects of traditional project management as well as agel work and then of course I have to I have to mention gen given where we are in the uh in the world uh but we're looking at features such as assistance with detailing and breaking down a work uh summary information around your iterations as well as kind of more proactive alerts and guidance based on trends that may not be obvious um further down we have some targeted features uh of course interested in your feedback there but um with that maybe we should go to the the next slide and kick off the uh the survey and happy to answer any questions but again would love your your very cool thank you guys a lot y with that here's our contact information uh I myself love sharing my lessons learned throughout my career and helping others and we saw in the first poll there were some pain points so we want to enable everybody to be able to be successful and um the last QR code is is one of my favorite Pages it's all things SPM so you can find other webinars other events we do have a question in the chat how well does EAP get data from the agile module um yeah no I think you're probably talking about the agile Dev 2.0 plugin uh so we actually share the same story table so we're looking at the same table um there are a couple attributes you you would want to add for from a team perspective but uh we have an integration um out of the box between the two and uh you can share like the definition your iterations and then read the same story so very very easy and designed to do that one more do you have a hierarchy chart or roles and responsibilities chart that parallels the different roles discussed in the demo today um we we do so there will be uh the person there's a Persona slide that'll go in in the deck that we that we sent out so that will send out um a copy of so you'll be able to see like what personas or what what roles we were looking at as we went through the as we went through the demo and then the hierarchy okay so same thing okay all right thanks oh one more one more yes if you guys are headed to the safe uh Summit please request a one-on-one meeting with us and also stop by our booth Booth booth number 226 not only will we probably have great swag but we'll also have a lot of people there that can answer your questions and and uh really get a wealth of information uh oh one more question we have we have to do hybrid to accommodate the customers that still have a waterfall mentality oh my gosh I can't tell you I had to do the exact same thing I completely understand that is there a tool that supports choosing an ad methodology um so yeah that's the uh the intent of EAP um yeah we need to get into the the details to see what exactly you need but we kind of leaned into safe but the intent is Con Bond scrum scrum we still have some work to do in terms of adding reports but um now we're we're pretty close on that and depends on what you want but happy to talk to you both about either the hybrid or the choosing AO methodology kind of after this if if that helps yeah feel free if there's anything else I know I I have to there's a lot of people that stay down with us to the end and thank you so much for that it really means a lot to us um hopefully we saw you we showed you something that was of interest and um I'm going to leave you on a fun note okay because because I'm a little bit quirky in that way I love a good dad joke who doesn't love a good dad joke so I'm going to tell you two agile dad jokes okay how many scrum Masters does it take to change a light bulb none they just enable the team to self organiz and change it themselves and then the last but not least why do Agile teams love bad jokes because they can always iterate and improve them in the next Sprint so that means please give us feedback get a survey thanks for laughing Curtis I appreciate that U please give us a survey um tell us what you want to see next time I look forward to regrouping and hopefully giving us a new a new um interested webinar for you guys
