Service Portal Widget - How to achieve a Vertical Navigation Bar - Free Stuff
Hi All,
Seen a few people ask for this.
What's Included?
- Header Widget: JT - VerticalNavBar
What do I need to get this working?
- Download the XML Record linked in this post
- Apply it to your Development Instance.
- Apply the new header widget to your Portals existing theme or create a new theme (Suggest creating a new theme).
FAQ - Or what I think will be asked:
Q: The header is overlapping the widgets on my page.
A: I've found one of the limitations of having this type of navbar, it does cut off about 20% of the page. In order to fix this, on the side that your navbar sits place a suitable column in the page designer. In my widget it requires 'Size - md = 3' on the column. Check the image below:
Q: What Instance Version does this work on?
A: It was built on London Patch 0, but should work on some Jakarta versions. All Depends on Boostrap Version I think.
Feel free to post below anymore questions, so I can add them to the FAQ once answered.
Hope this helps, consider it a basic template to develop on-top of.
Let me know if it's broke in the comments.
