Considerations / Leve em conta....

Just make sure that when the clone is in progress at that time any work on dev instance will be lost, just ensure the time lines when to start the clone and when to freeze the dev instance
* Tenha certeza que nenhum trabalho está em execução em ambiente de DEV, tudo será perdido após o clone.
Backup of all your update sets which are on development instance but not on prod.
* Faça um backup de todos updateset's que não foram para instância de produção.
.Close all your update sets on dev and retrieve all these update sets on prod. Do not preview/commit these update sets on prod.
Clone your instance to Dev. Now commit these update sets again on Dev.
Post-Clonning checklist.
* verifique no link acima tarefas a realizar após o clone terminar, como
- webservice (Export all your synchronizations into an XML file)
- JOB's, (Delete all synchronizations)
- LDAP..
- Importar XML's / Import the XML file again
hurdles - sometimes clones get stuck and needs to be restarted, usually if the volume of ur instance is high then this might happen, so ensure that you have enough time in buffer to repeat the clone proces if anything goes wrong.
Time: totally depends on the size of instance, small instances gets cloned in a couple of hours whereas some monstrous instances take as long as 30 hours
* O tempo estimado depende do tamanho da instância, pode levar algumas horas ou uns 30 minutos.
