Knowledge Byte #5 - Searching for Knowledge from your browser's address bar

When you are searching for knowledge base articles in your ServiceNow instance, you probably already know that there is more than one way.

But, if you are like me and like to use the tools you are already familiar with, here's a new way to search using your browser's built-in search engine feature to find knowledge articles in our Now Support (HI) instance.

Searching from the Chrome address bar

  1. Navigate to Chrome's Search Engine settings:
  2. Click on Add to create a new search engine with these values:

Now you can simply write the keyword "ks" in the address bar, followed by a space and your search terms. It will open the Now Suppor_t knowledge base search results page with the _Support and Troubleshooting knowledge base selected. For example:
