Request For Service Catalog
this video we will try to find a solution for demand where the Service Catalog where a user would like to request items for another user and where the user criteria are respected so that you don't see the items that the request for user could not see to achieve this there's not an out-of-box easy solution for that at this moment first this is an update set containing two widgets with which we will demonstrate later and business rule after that we need to make sure that the plugin this plug-in service portal user criteria support is activated and besides the property in able use of user criteria records instead of roles for service portal this property must also be set to yes and for now I'm gonna go to the page designer in the update set that I just shared we need to add the impersonate user entry widget to the page this is now done and now let me go to the user we're able to tutor is locked in and when i refresh the page because of adding the the widget now we see here a request for and at this point in the background you see that the mobile category is selected and when I go to Beverly Campbell she does not have access to the category mobile so that's not available for her so these are the items that are only available for her and when I say Add to Cart and then I'll go to the cart Beverly Campbell dish is okay and when I say checkout now it's created and I could stop impersonating and after that when we go back to the portal there is a business rule on the SE underscore request table and what it does it checks when you are impersonating someone and if so it will set the open by to the user that is impersonating so when we go to the request table we see that the item has just been created and requests for it set to the user and by the business rule it has set the open by to abled tutor so this could be a solution to be able to request for respecting the user criteria and we have SLE we've not too much impacts on there on the instance and without having a lot of customizations
