Platform Analytics Academy - August 21st, 2024 - What's New in Xanadu - Platform Analytics

Import · Aug 22, 2024 · video

[Music] okay we are at the top of the hour a little bit after so we're going to go ahead and get started thank you all for joining uh today to our platform analytics academy uh of course it's a really exciting one all of them are but these are really exciting because we get to talk about what's coming with a with the newest release so super super exciting so quickly I'll kind of just talk about some logistical things um well first let me say if you're returning thank you for coming back if you're new uh welcome we love having you uh like I said I'm just going to do some logistical information real quick and then we'll get directly into the content that we're going to go over today if I can get things working there we go so as usual this is always for you uh today is um again about new things that are coming for platform analytics uh in the xanadoo release uh and we also try to bring fresh ideas and better understanding and practical guidance as it relates to platform analytics performance analytics reporting all of those things uh this is being recorded it will be out in the community probably tomorrow morning um and also be out on YouTube and our YouTube channel so um please feel free to sit back and enjoy uh just know that this will be available for you later on um so you can make sure that you can get it get it all in today and listen uh please ask questions please feel free to uh ask questions if if you could just ask those in the Q&A rather than putting them in the chat there are other panelists that are on this call that can uh help answer questions while the presenter is actually presenting so if it is a question that is related to the content that we're going over and we feel it necessary to stop and ask that question and answer it we'll do that you can also ask questions that are unrelated to the content that we're covering today but are related to uh everything platform analytics um and we'll try to answer those as qu as well when we get to the end and we actually have some Q&A time uh we will go over the questions that are relevant to today's content and then get to the other ones if we do not get to your question today uh we completely apologize but please feel free to tag Us in the community and we'll make sure that we try to get that uh information to you and let's see there we go so Safe Harbor um may be very very important today um but again uh just make sure that you're understanding things that we're sharing with you uh there may be some road map or whatnot uh but just make sure that you always keep the Safe Harbor in consideration as you're actually listening to the content that we're covering today so again my name is Thomas Davis and we have Marta and Serena on today they're going to talk about what's new in zanadoo as it relates to platform analytics and then also my um partner in crime quote unquote Dan Kane is always here Olga is here as well and uh Mike may or may not come in he said he may come uh but just know we have some really good panelists and of course presenters as well so like I said we're going to talk about what's new in xanadoo as it relates to platform analytics super super exciting so uh Serena or Marta whoever's grabbing it first you may feel free to grab it and take off thank you thank you I'll start okay I'll share my screen perfect can you see my screen we can perfect uh thank you very much and thank you everyone for joining so I will be presenting uh what swing Z do the main themes uh and we'll go through a demo it will be a little bit of me and Mara uh but I will present the main uh uh five uh I would say main four themes go through the demo and then I will uh leave the word to Mara perfect thank you uh you went already through this so I think we can skip this and yeah the the agenda again is pretty simple uh we'll review um main uh themes for theor release uh we'll show you a few of the new improvements and capabilities and then we'll have time for questions perfect let me get started so our first theme for this uh release is uh accessibility um now our Builders and charts are wag 2.1 compliant and fully accessible for visually impaired users uh so um users can uh zoom up up to 400% uh uh without any loss of uh functionality and content um this is uh for our charts again and our Builders meaning our dashboard inan editor and visual designer uh for Now supported only for the view consumption um so um it it really makes uh I would say our product uh access accessible um and usable for any uh type of user at any View support um I will scheme a little bit through the teams because we'll also show um most of the things that I'm uh presenting now but our second theme for this release was also performance so we already introduced caching in the previous releases but as part of zanadu release we also introduce a few caching announcements and improvements for the performance of your data visualizations um so uh one of the few improvements for example is caching for indicator based data visualizations previously we were supporting caching only for table based data visualization but now you can use it also on uh your charts that are built on indicator uh data sources and again the was this will really help improve the performance uh when maybe having the latest information for you is not the most critical and we also introduce a new Logic for uh Auto refreshed uh cach data so so if you set your cash expiration time from uh 8 hours on so it could be also more than 8 hours of course um we would rerun the the cash data for you um so this is of course to avoid paying the price of uh performance for example if you have a cash expiration time of 24 hours um after the 24 hours we wouldn't delete the cach but we would Auto refresh the cash data for you um to get an improved performance if you open your dashboard after 24 hours um so this is for our performance improvements mainly on caching um and the next one is uh big we have many improvements and enhancements for our data visualizations and dashboards um I will show mainly almost all of these improvements so I will not uh maybe Focus too much on on this part so we have more time for the demo uh but anyways we we have various improvements in usability and new capabilities uh then you can use a part of S release um for example uh we know that a few um we have been asked for example to control the data source type visibility parole and now that is available and we also uh for example introduce a new data visualization box plot so we have many nice improvements that uh would make uh I think using platform analytics dashboards um even better and more efficient uh and I will show them uh during the demo um I don't know if I should pause in the meanwhile for any questions I'm not really going through the chat yeah no I think you're you're good Mart is answering one and I'm going to get ready to answer one so you're good to keep going thank you perfect so our fourth theme um is uh actually Innovation um we already introduced uh our proactive analytics insights uh but now we have even more improvements um such as uh we added notification and filtering from data visualizations um to kind of filter your uh proactive insights through the panel to know what is relevant and uh also action suggestions for automated process mining insights and last but not least uh we also have uh now data visualization generation so analytics uh generation features um I think there will be a specific uh session uh correct me if I'm wrong on analytics generation um yeah that will be actually September the 4th so our next session will cover that perfect thank you um but anyways we of course we keep innovating think we keep working on making the experience better uh for you um and um I I think I went through the main let's say four themes that I would also like to cover um in the demo uh our fourth uh our fifth uh theme will be covered by Mara uh after maybe the demo that I will do um I think I maybe can go through the demo so I can show you all these exciting new improvements as I said before um one of the main uh Focus for our uh ex release was accessibility uh we're really striving to making uh our product uh accessible and now it's w 2.1 compliant um as I mentioned before our charts uh and uh our dashboard inline editor as well as visual designer um can now up to 400% without any loss of uh function or content and I will show that um I will show for example how it looks like for our dashboards so as you can see I'm zooming in um currently I have a viewport of 300 I can go up to 400 and um uh all the elements in our dashboards will uh Reflow vertically um one on top of the other so our top layout the filters that were on top would Reflow vertically and um also our charts so this really makes it much um easier and effective to consume um you can consume all of our charts see the details um and there's really no loss of uh content for you um more than that um also most of the actions that you would be able to uh to uh do at 100% viewport are also available so for example you may want to change a dashboard from here and uh this is possible also at 400% or maybe view the info details of a dashboard uh or for example again the sharing permissions so really they are now fully accessible um for visually impaired users uh without any loss of content or functionality um and the same uh applies also for our uh visual designer [Music] um now I'll go back to uh the viewport that I usually use um so this was for accessibility our first theme um I will skip to the third theme that I mentioned so data visualization enhancements um and dashboards announcements um you saw it was a long list so maybe we can get started um the first um one of the first announcements um that I would like to show is um the um Auto resizing of our single scores um so uh you can find this uh function of course in the configuration panel um yeah as a saying as I was saying before we have this new function um Auto resizing of single score you can find it in uh the configuration panel in display settings um so of course before you were able to set up a fixed score size um for um uh your single score um data visualization type so for example I can set up an Excel um score size and you would see that when prising uh the content that the number the score inside wouldn't uh would not change um with auto resizing um the content uh the score is responsive to the widget size as your size and uh I think this really improves the editing experience and it's really useful also for Reflow cases um because yeah based on the volume of the data there score will change uh and with auto it will remain always always visible um in the widget space um and the same I uh configured for the other scores um perfect uh this is for single score um the next Improvement that I would like to show is um data tables uh so now data tables can be toggled on and off based on your preference from your data visualization what does it mean uh so always let me go for this one always on your configuration panel um you would have um in the display settings the ability to show or not the data table um so of if you don't want to show it of course it's h you would see your data visualization but by showing it save it and show you would see the the relevant um uh basically data on which the visualization is built so you would see the aggregated data uh and also the breakdown uh proportion uh of the values by percentage um so again really easy to customize your data visualizations um and based on your preference and how you want to consume your data um and um in my opinion it makes the consumption of the data visualization maybe much easier for the end user um and as always everything is on your uh configuration panel on the right side so everything can be done on the dash in the dashboard inline editor or from the visual designer um okay perfect uh another small improve movement but in my opinion really nice that I would like to show um always probably from this chart is um the improvements that we made for uh the color selection so now if you want to configure uh a single color for your data visualization you have the color example next to the color ID um and this uh would makes makes it at least uh in my opinion much easier to choose a color uh you have these two different views but yes so in this case next to the color ID you can see the actual color that you want to choose I can you know change it um nice I went through almost half of the data visualization improvements shall I pause for any relevant question no we're getting them all answered so you're good to keep going thank you um perfect um uh what else can I show um for um uh a few improvements um maybe I can show on the time series first um so um for the time series visualizations we have a new configuration to show the values uh that are used as filter on the page as aggregated or separated lines or area columns um again um everything is available from uh the configuration panel in this case um from the data upset upset um data update apologies um you can uh toggle on and off um maybe I think I can show for this one so in this case in this case we have it toggle toggle it on um and I can show the final result when filtering let's say I can select a few categories um apply the FI filter and you would see um that by toggling on you will display um each filter condition separately within the chart um so this would really allow for a detailed comparison across the different metrics over time you would see a line for software and and another line for inqu help um and I think it really helps to refine uh the results that you want to get from your data and understand your data much better um perfect um I think one uh last useful Improvement for um uh for filtering as well but mainly data visualization is uh that now C the filters now you have the ability to um uh follow filters uh per metric uh this PO filter toggle was already available um and of course you could uh toggle it on and off deciding whether this data visualization should follow the filtering input uh but now you can also differentiate between metrics so in this case um I want um my number of open incident metric to follow uh filters uh while the other one percentage of incident resour by first assigning group shouldn't follow the filter so shouldn't um have the filtering conditions applied [Music] um perfect so for example we can see that again when filtering the uh metric uh that I toggled on now number of open incidents uh is filtered for um this filtering condition while incidents resolved by first Simon group is not uh following the filter perfect um okay um I this was I I think mainly it for the data visualizations uh improvements um another maybe small but nice improvements that we have for uh the dashboard is that now um when you configure um uh the data visualization in your dashboards of course you can add new data visualizations from scratches uh directly to the dashboard but also saved visualizations and your Sav visualization are saved in your uh data visualization Library uh in this case I have a save visualization here and uh maybe I want to make a few changes um for example showing a data table uh showing uh here again as I showed before but I don't want these changes to be reflected um in uh my library so I want these changes to apply only for this dashboard uh now um if you open the editing experience and you click on these three dots you can find here an option to unlink from library and uh again as I said before this would un link the changes that you make um that you make um from a dashboard to a save visualization uh would be unlink from the library um so again this makes it much I think easier to um to customize uh your data visualizations based on what what you want to see in the dashboards without affecting what is saved in the library um a few more updates that were um actually mentioned in the deck are for um uh data sources um so now you have the uh option uh to control the data source uh type visibility per role when configuring a data visualization um because what um Can Happen uh is that um you may be as admin user um you don't want uh user to see specifically um some type of data sources so you can control roles that that are seeing a data source uh you can specify the roles that have that access and by doing that other rules wouldn't have access and how you do it do that is from uh a table c v data source role um that I I can show quickly how it's on so you would go to this table and uh of course everything is in the deck and we also have a news letter with all the info but uh I already configured uh a few but um from this table you can configure a new one and it's really easy and simple um you can select the uh v data source type uh for example I want indicator and you can select the role that can actually see and use that data source type um for example in this case I can put dashboard admin and submit so um in this case only dashboard admins for what I configure now would be able to um to configure uh data visualizations B based on uh indicator data sources um and uh the the other roles uh users with other roles wouldn't be able to see um indicator data source finally for um data sources we also made uh a small Improvement uh in the search um so we improveed the we improved the data source uh search results um by showing the exact match first and we'll make an example I will add uh new data visualization here and you would see that if you search by incident um you would see first the exact match so um it makes it much easier to find um a specific data source especially if you know the name um and uh use it uh straight away so this is another small Improvement um and um one last thing that actually I forgot to mention but that is very valuable is that now we introduced uh boxplot um data visualization type um so boxplot I mean of course it helps uh visualize the distribution of data set by showing the median part tiles and the outliers in a data set um and makes it much easier to compare the distribution across different uh groups and categories um and again it's really useful to show the skewness and spread of your data um and uh it's uh available um as part of I think data visualization app store um uh 4.0 correct me if I'm wrong but it should be 4.0 and um in the dashboard um when you add a new element it can be found uh in the visualization type uh drop down right here in the other section um and again the configuration experience is really um um consistent and similar to the other configuration uh experiences for other data visualization types um you would have to choose your dimensions and then you have um the other um configurations available for um other data visualization types perfect I um will quickly then go through um our proactive analytics um improvements um so one of the few improvements that I mentioned before um is that um we introduced a visual clue um to see that an insight um an insert is is available and that insert applies to a single widget um so when you select the Insight from the widget itself in this case it's a widget based on open incident uh kpi um it will open the insights panel and um and it will show already a filtered view uh of the insights uh of the insights based um on the selected kpi um so uh this is uh one improvements for proactive analytics um and again it can be applied for um a number uh a different number of kpis um what we uh also introduced um is uh suggestions based uh on automated process mining insights uh well that was already um um delivered as part of uh the Washington release um so insights based on uh type process mining was already out um uh which is uh basically proactively showing uh meaningful insights uh based on the data that you ready to process mining on um however what was introduced as part of zad release um is um uh the as you can see here suggestions active um suggestion active and recommendation to uh start improving your process by applying applying process mining basically um so um as you can see from here you can easily select the kpi uh that you want to run the process analysis for and uh also generate Improvement opportunities um and by clicking there uh everything will be automated and um it will create a project using the conditions the right conditions and start mining the data underneath uh and by doing that also of course generating Improvement opportunities um and one once it's done mining you can see um if it's uh unfortunately apologies for technical problem but uh we also have a um a video in our newsletter for um how it's working um but uh basically once it's done mining all the data those recommendations and insights will immediately be available to extract um and it really supports the end users with taking the right decision and improve services and processes um and uh allows you to immediately take action on top of the insights that was mainly it from my side for um our accessibility data visualization and dashboards and Innovation improvements um I hope you enjoyed and apologies again for the technical issue um no worries thank you Serena and I'll I'll get the actually if you can find the link that you're talking about about the video we can just put that into the chat sure it's the end of yeah thank you it's at the end of the deck also so we can show it later but I will put it in the chat okay sounds very awesome uh Mar I think there's some things you want to share quickly yes absolutely uh let me give an update regarding the migration itself perfect hi everyone uh so as Serena has done a sneak peek of this part of the slides we have been working to my improve the migration and the capabilities the dash the dashboards capabilities the visualization filters that we actually support in the migration this is a quick uh Overlook of what we have supported till now and what is going to be released uh with it's already released with August and it's going to be released with s soon so uh I will focus on May August and sanadu in the demos today's uh so for for May that will also and August they are both compatible with the Washington releases so if you are testing the migration or you like starting to migrate your dashboards make sure that you have upgraded to the latest uh version of the plugins uh so you actually can Leverage all the new capabilities that we support um regarding the migration now in may we support the migration of pivot chart version one pivot chart with multiple columns indicator scorecard with custom order and label names PA breakdown sh up X configuration chart interaction that both the custom URL drill Downs sometimes also in the past called on click behavior for the PA widgets um and the uh chart interaction act as filter and then in August we are as Serena as displayed uh we the auto size of the single score we are now migrating the single score to default Auto size and we are also migrating the parto chart and with the Xanadu family um it we are able to migrate the cascading filters the dashboard background color and also the chart interaction that are the drill down chart to chart so as like the the report drill Downs as mentioned before uh okay I can go through a demo so let me get to this the instance um these are the dashboards that I started from as you can see there are the different version of the pivot uh or the pivot with multiple columns non-c configured content is also something that we now migrate to actually non-configurable filters or data visualizations uh the chart interactions so in this case this is a custom URL that connects to uh um workspace the asset workspace uh and the other ones have instead configured the actas filters so like over here will this chart will act as filters and this instead as a drill down chart to chart configured so then it will as a final will go to the list and in the indicator scorecard I have configured the label and I can show you of the new incident and the backlog incident as well I have configured the order uh so the label is configured here as well as the order is actually being configured so this will be uh migrated so now let's go and look at the migrated version so as you can see the color has been migrated the cascading filters was also migrated as you can see they are migrated as separate filters as of now we are working also on a group UI uh filters uh right now so we're looking in the future to have the possib abity also to uh put together visually multiple uh filters and apply them all at the same times but the benefits also of having the filters are separate is that they can work also as a standalone filters uh and at the same time they will also work as the cascading filters so if I apply here as bat bat is the manager only of service desk so in this case is configured uh to apply for for the service desk and I in this case it will apply to uh the filters themselves let me clear all filters and as you can see uh over here this pivot has been migrated uh the multi- pivot column also were migrated and the non-configurable content is migrated to non-configurable like data visualization not had configured data visualizations and filters um so those will be you can configure directly from the dashboards we had noticed while migrating even uh internal uh users internal customers in a service now that there was a lot of content that was still in a non-c configured space um so we went into making sure to migrate it to the not non configur version of the visualization and the filters chart interactions Uh custom URL also in this case it will open Hardware asset overview and the asset workspace and then you can see here from the actas filters that it will actually apply to this chart because as follow filters and they both are on incident data uh so you can apply different s slices of the the pie in this case but it will also work with the donuts semi donuts and bar charts in the new data visualizations and all the configuration regarding the interactions the chart interactions is in the section that is called the chart interaction over here so you can say your is migrated as appli as filter and then you could have to go to URL for the custom URL and you're going to have one version that is instead drill down chart to chart that is available to configure only from the visualization designer uh that is from the drill down chart to chart and the last one that was migrated in this chart where like the list uh the indicator scorecard uh in this case also the name was migrated for both new incident and backlog incident as well as the order is maintained as it was before now moving to the August changes and for the August store instead you will need to um install the store releases that we have released with in the beginning of August um so that one will will be also available for uh for Washington customer so both M store and August store are available also for the Washington customers um for the August store we have done the migration of the single score to the auto oh scores and in this case you can see that there are different sizes and the both the report single score and the PA widgets single score resize automatically based on the content on the dashboard and this is the par chart so now if I go into the migrated version um you can see that also in this case the migrated version of the single score are um fitting the size of the container that they are part of and we have also migrated the parto chart over here and let me see if there are any questions yeah there is uh a few of them um let's see so let's so something that Serena uh showed earlier which is that first question regarding the feature demonstrated today of selectively filtering part of a line chart is there some sort of visual indication that only part of the report is being filtered how would a user get feedback that the filter has only been applied to part of the data does that make sense it does make sense um I certain I don't know if you remember of you seen it majority of the time we have the filter information if they've been applied or not over here uh I think we mainly need to double check if it actually States for which metric it applies or not and if it doesn't is definitely an improvement that I think it's it's worth noting uh uh yes Mara thank you yes we we have that visual clue true but yeah we definitely need to double check I I think there is no differentiation between the metrics but I think we should double check and it would be a good Improvement in case I agree okay great thank you Robert for that enhancement that we'll try to get that taken care of soon um so when migrating dashboards with the tool will the pi will the pie chart act as a filter be applied where it currently exists uh yes it will um so if the pi as the configuration of actas filter uh it will also be migrated with that configuration uh into the migrated dashboards and it should apply to all the other like charts as it was applying before okay great thank you and Dan is typing out an answer uh um I don't know if you saw this one but um I don't know the answer let's see the one from yeah yeah uh do you do you have the answer to that do you know anything about that no but uh we might maybe have uh if we have an email on this we will bring up our DBS uh okay I'll tell him I'll type an answer here and have him send that to me uh if you want to answer that last one while I do that we content blocks and custom interactive filters be available anytime soon or are they already available uh so for the content blocks uh when they are migrated right now they are migrated uh if they are Dynamic content blocks they're migrated in compatibility mode if they are static content blocks then we are migrating to the rich text component that is uh natively compatible with the dashboard inline editor um we are doing some work right now on the custom interactive filters uh and we should be able with the release uh of Yama to also support the custom interactive filters if you're using the publisher uh functionality so to like have them as an interactive filters that work with the other reports uh that should also be they will be migrated in compatibility mode but that uh connection and that communication with the other charts in the page will be maintained and will still be supported hey Marta I have a just a quick follow-up question for you so you kind of so internal quick internal discussion um for what is currently like Dynamic filters in that uh would we also recommend that you know after it comes over in compatibility mode that wouldn't it be easier or better to actually just recreate that Dynamic filter are using more the native um next experience tools like you know data binding and and event triggers and things of that sort yes absolutely uh that was going to be the followup is like of course during the migration we place them in compatibility mode um but if you want to continue using a more like uh Dynamic content uh the suggestion for us will be to build technical wordss they use all the capabilities from the UI Builder that will then you can leverage a way more like scripting data binding to make sure that you have those Dynamic content Back available again and the big thing I think I've been trying to um imp stress is that the difference is that Dynamic most of the dynamic content blocks is a lot of it is custom code in the Legacy core UI in the new UI it is just part of UI Builder functionality you know to add in you know to add in custom code so it's so then it becomes part of the you know the native platform rather than something that's being custom on top of the platform so there's definite advantages to rebuilding that I add only one last mention is that from sanadu uh all the n new instances that you might create especially from like if you have a DPI or like a developer like a developer instance or like you are trying some code and it's a fresh zot like net new instance out of the box instance of sanadu um it will actually only have as an experience the platform analytics meaning that you're not going to see any more the reporting and performance analytics menus but you were actually and I'm going to steal you quickly the yeah sorry about that no problem um you're going to see these menus platform analytics and platform analytics Administration uh you are not going to be able to find any more reporting uh like report menu and the performance uh analytics menu but all that is important and still valuable to be maintained for all the performance analytics capability is as well as like some configuration regarding report ranges report sources as well as like the colors structure they are still all available under platform analytics so you're still going to be able to find them miror is just from for the net new instances and net new customers starting with sanadu our the main experience will only be platform analytics experience and we are maintaining the option to still create reports and Pa widgets from the usage and governance mainly because of the service portal uh implementation but the creation of PA widgets and reports is only accessible from report admin and Pa admin users and again the big thing to take away from that is that is again like she said that's net new zanadu so um the the nudge that we're giving um when is that again uh Marta is that in z now yes yeah for upgrading customers the migration path uh to platform analytics experience is planned for Zurich yeah okay and one thing that I do want to add and I actually have a slide here in a little bit is uh obviously analytics generation is something that uh was with X as well and we didn't spend a great deal of time on that today only because we do have a session in uh two weeks where we're going to actually show uh the analytics generation inside of platform analytics so know that it is there it's it's out there uh and we'll have a really good session here in a couple weeks to actually show you the power uh of that which is a a really big uh release for us as it relates to that information so uh and Marty is typing another one so we have around around uh 11 minutes left and there are no questions uh here's an opportunity we have a really great group of panelists that can hopefully answer questions that you have so uh and there they come okay let's see so uh platform analytics Administration to include usage data for data visualizations and dashboards please currently a pain toine unused reports and dashboards for cleanup so I'm I'm that sounds more of a statement or a question but I don't know Mar do you want to speak to that definitely it's one of the top asks we are uh looking into it and we will be working in delivering this this capability we have some limited possibility to do it today in the user experience analytics in yaha it will be way better way to do it in the user experience analytics at least for the dashboards a bit harder for the um datation yet um and then once we have the core uh in available on the platform will make it easy for the admins just to um to really uh clean up and see what is unused in the last ex ex time period so that's that's we aware of this and we we are looking uh on the ways to deliver it for you okay great thank you and oh um Mar is typing one out there so it is clean again um any other questions are there any timeline on when dashboards are getting deprecated Marta uh yes so that's the same timelines as we mentioned before for the upgrading customers the plan is that on the upgrade to Zur or Zur plus if you if you're not going directly to Zurich then uh the cor UI dashboards and Reporting will be deprecated and will uh move to the platform analytics experience good great thank you and then also uh will it be possible to migrate reports individually or will they only happen once the full migration occurs yeah reports right now are migrated only when the full migration so the B migration occurs uh the only option to migrate separately individually is only for dashboards okay and then we do have a question about homepages if they're still around so uh homepages said to PA dashboard when doing few sample conversions they seem to be stored in another table how will the homepage work that's yeah because I assume my homepage there you're just talking about like the default link right like a homepage object I supposed like an old homepage right I hope so that's yeah we hope so that that's that's why I was sort of a little Tongue Tied there hope so that that they're not actually still I I have definitely seen uh case task um or a case support uh recently regarding it from from my customers and I'm not sure if it's to um I know that we should do a change to make sure that we are maintaining that homepage definition and what is set for the users uh in the UniFi navigation there is also a setting on the profile itself in which you can configure um what are the uh what is your starting page uh but I don't know if you have a case open about this or like just a question maybe it will be nice to understand more via email about it okay and then here's another one that goes back to the reports what happens to the reports that are Migra ated where can we find those post migration that are not migrated I'm sorry where can we find those post migration um so you will be able to find them as part of the data visualization list in the platform analytic Library menus so even if reports are not actually migrated but are in compatibility mode so they are not converted natively to the data visualization they are still going to be available as part of the data visualization list uh and you're still going to be able to uh open them and view them and edit them from the report designer okay Dan you had one you wanted to answer live yeah and probably the other one too I think go take a look at the one from I think it's Mike I'm not sure but the anonymous attendees said they confused about uh if all this is tied to out of the boox reports and dashboards or to Performance analytics subscribers it really is the answer to that really is all of the above anything that is in the core UI what we call environment which is your dashboards reports that have been built prior to the next experience UI um is is migrated is migrated over whether you are a PA subscriber or not because you can make a dashboard without being a PA subscriber you still there there do we lose you I'm here oh okay that was that was it that was it I'm done I'm done uh the the other question was about um uh calculations like identifying overall processing time for specific incident tickets I'm going to assume that you were asking about it in like the real time table query perspective because we are because we have that in many outof thebox indicators for performance analytics indicators where you can say that you know based upon the collection date this is how old that you know this is how old that record is or how old it's been between two different date fields and things of that sort um when we're but I want to kind of ask our uh inbound team here the folks here on because I know as of last last I checked within reports you could do functions but the but like the but like the now to to uh calculate you know the a current you now minus a current minus a date field or something that was not was not available is is that changing in the function Fields you mean yeah there were no changes in the last few in the I didn't think so so yeah so we still don't have because I know like one yeah one of the things i' that been asked for before was to have like a Now function be available in in the fun in the uh report Builder function creator and uh it has not not been something that we that has been supported so we're saying so we're not planning on that at this point we need to see if there's lots of ask for it I think uh again so many people on the call if lots of people think it's a good idea at at idea post all if enough people like want it it's it definitely seems like interesting it's just a lot of different asks and we need just to see what's what most of the customers need so we can prioritize the most important things first I like I like Eric Eric's suggestion says now equals you can say relative to one minute ago that's still yeah you could certainly do something like that in just a condition in just a regular condition Builder potentially but the yeah I'd like the idea of though actually having because that's something I've heard asked for a few times in the function in the the function Builder with for report so the question if it's just because the question was for specific incident like if it's for specific incident specially with the next experience you have a lot of possibilities with a UI Builder have some scripting and you can just show um like the calculation somewhere if we're talking about for the reporting purposes then it's indeed will be probably extension of the function Fields would be probably the best uh options from there so I think it's also like what is exact ask for it yeah and there's just a note uh one note from a person saying that the few of a few of us asked about that now function at the last at the last Academy session as well so we'll just make sure that we get that follow we just make sure that we get those requests followed up on the biggest thing as Olga said was to make sure there if if there's something in the idea portal certainly helps to ask here but the most the the most useful thing to do is to put make sure it's in the idea portal and you get other people to upload it that's going by far going to be the biggest the best way to do that good great thank thank you Marty you had this one you were gonna answer live yes uh so Dwayne as as part of the Zurich migration process my understanding dashboards and reports will be put in inactive State not deleted correct yes you are correct we are not deleting any content from the tables we are not deleting any content from the instances everything is still going to be in the instance but in an inactive so active equal force uh State okay great I don't know if uh Raymond's question was pointed at the same thing that you were just talking about or not Dan I don't know um it's it's similar what so the questions on what what started assign to us so well I'll see with that is what I see most commonly done is to use metrics or slas like with a metric with a with a metric definition you can say that you want to track and I think there is an out of thebox one that says I can track every change in assignment group so what so what you can do is you can look at the metric results like the task like the Met task metric or incident metric database view table and you can and then you can look forward say where all of them that were assigned to my team you know within so that that keeps basically a history of the as separate records in the metrics tables we'll keep a history of the the group assignments okay great thank you Dan and we are a minute over so um again if we did not get to you or if you think of another question please feel free to ask that in the community and you can tag uh Dan or myself and we'll try to get that answered for you all right so real quickly just kind are short videos and also PowerPoints that you can also use within your organization to train up your people uh as well and like I said uh in a couple weeks we're going to have a session that is dedicated to the new analytics generation that we have uh coming in next so please uh check that out that's going to be a really great session and thank you to our uh presenters as as well and our panelists really great content and again um if you have questions please just hit us up in the uh the community and look for this information to be out tomorrow thank you all and we'll see you in two
