Import · Jul 27, 2024 · video

[Music] hey everyone it's Justin thank you for watching and or listening to the podcast and welcome to my house it's time time for another service now store highlights video that's SSH version 0726 2024 I'm coming to you from vacation to record this episode we have 65 new or updated applications in this episode we just released an episode on Monday the 22nd and uh looks like a bunch more minor updates came through from service now which we'll get to in a second let's go off the leaderboard here nine downgrades that's the most downgrades I think I've seen so far since I've started tracking them one fix two ghost applications or removed applications six highlights there's those 38 minor updates five new releases and four release notes fails let's jump right into the episode uh here we go and let's take a look first let's look at the downgrades all right I um we'll double check these just to make sure they're still downgraded um so this might take us a second to go through nine of them yep that's still downgraded so common Service delivery was one of the downgraded ones the next one was DLP incident response integration with net scope was downgraded uh to a version back in February uh let's see have I been pwned for security operations that was downgraded from 10.4.1 to 10.0.0 um let's up next new lab notebook was updated um or was downgraded from 1.01 to one their first release next uh downgraded one is qualus integration for security operations that was downgraded from 1213 to 12.2.2 and let's see service graph connector for gcp that was downgraded from 1.5.1 back to 1.5.0 which we saw in February uh third to last here vulnerability response common was downgraded from 2.7.0 to 2.6.4 and two more vulnerability applications the vulnerability response integration with Microsoft threat and vulnerability management that was also downgraded from 2.4.0 to 2.3 .10 and let's see this last one here vulnerability response integration with tenable was downgraded from 3.11.0 to 3.1.2 um so yeah unusual number of downgrades uh we haven't seen this many usually it's like one or two or maybe three uh but there were nine this time um fortunately there's only one fix platform analytics from service now had some minor fixes that uh weren't worth covering in the highlights we did have two ghost applications the first one yep still there still not there thira edify was removed from the store and the second one uh was also is also still removed verum ESG dashboard jump start so if you're using either Thera edify or V verum ESG dashboard jump you might want to know they've been removed from the store or as I like to call them they they ghosted me when we did the crawl they're not there anymore uh let's see minor updates there's 38 of them let's cover the non-service now on so let me just filter out service now we've got uni Solutions with AI translations powered by lionbridge book and pay Cloud guard cnap Cloud strike Falcon exposure management for vulnerability response flas Point vom DB proven Optics enablement sent in a one app for security incident response and workload management all minor updates uh from the non-service now team let's go ahead and slap service now back in there and then um whoa I that just zeroed out everything I don't know what I did wrong um let's kill that there we go that was weird there was like this null filter I don't know if you can see just above my head um that was bizarre I don't know what happened there but let's go ahead and show matching on the service now ones that leaves us a 30 from service now so let's go for it uh Cloud cost management Cloud cost management AWS Cloud cost management Azure Cloud cost management core Cloud cost management gcp Cloud cost management infr stack Cloud Discovery workspace Cloud Integrations AWS Cloud Integrations Azure Cloud spend reports AWS Cloud spend reports Azure Cloud spend reports core we'll scroll down here for the rest of this page Cloud spend reports gcp service graph connector for Microsoft InTune SN app part components chart drill down configuration component Builder config panel create dashboard modal Dash data visualization wrapper and dynamic renderer we all minor updates let's go check out page two should have about 10 left there um some more SN app platform analytics stuff uh export modal info content info panel insights panel saved data visualization scheduled export share dialogue Share info dashboard and sn- risk assessment we all minor updates so service now has been busy getting ready for zanadoo if you hadn't figured that out already let's go ahead and get back to our big list here and we'll regroup by the category so what's after minor updates oops maybe I need to adjust that filter one more time store application service now we'll get rid of that one all right so after minor updates we have four release notes fails if you haven't seen an episode before a release note fail is that there are no release notes repeated release notes release notes behind a pay wall or a login so I can't tell you what changed about these applications all I can tell you is they're new versions U but unfortunately it's a release notes fail so I don't have anything to share with you I can't categorize it they are carbon control control geof fluent realtime translation for chat and ticketing inbound integration suite and new lab where all release notes fails for this episode now let's get to the good stuff we had five new releases so let's Jump Right In first one's going to be census attack surface management accelerate risk prioritization with the census ASM to service now VR integration key features accelerate risk remediation automatically sync exposures and vulnerabilities from census attack surface management to service now vulnerability response facilitate risk prioritization map senses severity metrics and risk details to service now vulnerable items and keep track of risky assets send census discovered assets to service now for official tracking and management they do have some screenshots with some blur action going on this first one is a list of configuration items where they've blurred out the IP address and names uh second one is a vulnerable item form with the detections related list on the bottom second or third screenshot is a list of vulnerable items again with the CI actually blurred out uh fourth one here is a screenshot of census API configurations this is just the configuration to set up the integration with sensus with census and service now so it's got a API URL API key the domain and the last updated on that one uh next screenshot is back to that first list of configuration items that was the first screenshot we looked at so that's what's new or that's the new application from the team at census Inc or census Incorporated uh next new release is going to be phosphorus incident integration seamless method to sync phosphorus device findings to service now itsm for incident and ticket management Let's see we have one key feature here phosphorus application Imports incident ticking and management for devices that have been synced to service now via service graph connector for phosphorus um they included some screenshots let's take a look at those first one's the guided setup for the integration second one is the mapping of phosphor alert severity so mapping the low severity of phosphorus to a service now priority which includes impact urgency and priority of course if you know service now um let's see second screenshot is the same as the or third screenshot is the same as the second screen shot I can't tell a difference we'll do that one more time um the capitalization okay so that I just noticed the low medium and High um capitalizes on the second or third screenshot so I don't know what's going on uh fourth screenshot is a list of incidents with the category of phosphorus alert so it looks like alerts are generating incidents that should be interesting uh next screenshot is a list of security incidents next screenshot is a security incident form with the Chevrons at the top showing the um progress through the workflow there um next screenshot is an incident form with the notes related list or related form and we're back to our guided setup screenshot so that's what's new from the team at phosphorus cyber security next new release is going to be return center automate return center automate closes the data loop by automatically updating your assets your asset records as they progress through the disposition process key features for this new app automated asset updates are performed through a series of flows which affect Assets in your Alm asset table related to a return center order in three ways work in progress sanitization and disposition uh the work in progress applies to assets and service now added to an order upon order placement sanitization applies to any asset reported by an itad or data sanitization vendor on a certificate of Destruction and disposition applies to any asset reported by an itad vendor on a final disposition settlement report there are yes there are screenshots there's a video which I'm going to skip let's take a look at the screenshots versus the asset updates General tab um it's got some like uh uh we need to call those windows like when a character is talking a caption or a call out window uh detailing some of their stuff next is the disposal Tab update showing the fields getting updated next screenshot is the asset updates in work in process and sanitization flows U so automatic automate updates these fields and adds comments and it's poed to State substate and comments next screenshot is the asset updates in the disposition flow similar kind of showing you what gets updated uh next is the itad order in the return center app uh pointing out some documents and related links and then there's the video that I saw said I wasn't going to play so that's what's new from the team at one pack Incorporated next new release is going to be smartlink translation management system spoke um this is the improve the user experience for customers worldwide uh key features seamless integration in a service now's localization framework request translation for knowledge articles surveys catalog catalog items and more support for 250 plus languages support for 15 plus machine translation providers including Amazon DL Google Microsoft and open AI GPT service now users can customize their translation mixed for Quality cost and speed by choosing from a variety of translation workflows op optional language AI capabilities including automated post editing fuzzy match repair optimized glossies and more and data Protection security and compliance secured and certified via thirdparty audits including pci1 sock to Hippa and gdpr I have in deja vu I feel like this was in last week's episode episod so I'm going to pause here for a minute and I want to jump out to a different episode how am I going to do that let me go back to my home screen here and we'll open up uh what was Monday's um episode and I'm just going to go to back to the new releases CU I feel like I just read the same thing I read a few days ago um scrolling down scrolling down smartling MTV service spoke so what's the difference between improve the user experience for customers worldwide same same key features but it's a okay so smartlink MTC Mt service spoke and this week's smartlink translation management system spoke and you know translation management could be TM which is similar to Mt I don't know these feel like very similar applications so I don't know what the difference is here but um even the description of the applications is nearly identical uh I'm just going back and forth between the two of them key features are the same um yeah this is really bizarre I haven't seen anything like this and only reason I noticed is because I was working on the episode that came out already this week over the weekend and this is just a few days later and I'm seeing the same thing again but anyways uh I'm going to stop there um with this one so this is the this is the one from last week this is the one that's new from this week smartling translation management system spoke we won't bother with the screenshot since this looks exactly the same um but that is what's new from smartling Inc and U maybe a duplicate app I don't know that was really weird let's go back to this week's episode uh and we have one left here phosphorus cyber security it's going to be the vulnerability response integration with phosphorus uh streamline iot vulnerability management with phosphorous iot Centric vulnerability response application key features for this one the vulnerability response integration with phosphorus operational technology certified application Imports vulnerability vulnerability information for devices that have been as synced to service now via the service grab connector for phosphorus I'm having Deja Vu again I'm not kidding uh okay so there's a phosphorus incident integration and then now there's this vulnerability response integration okay so that's a difference itm versus vulnerability response um so that was the key features let's take a look at the screenshots one's a nice logo letting us know their service now OT certified second one is guided setup uh third one is the connect to phosphorus config configuration screen where you set up your credentials your url your API key and some settings there next screenshot is a list of vulnerable items next screenshot is a vulnerable item form with the vulnerability tab down below showing some information and then we're back to our useless certification logo that they've included as their first screenshot and that's what's new or that's two things new from phosphorus cyber security but it is the end of our new releases which leaves us with the highlights only six of them this week so let's Jump Right In first one is going to be agaro updated version two uh agaro is now MSP ready compatible with the MSP instance um features or new features on the for collection improvements on the engine and features of the consolidation between areas ability to take into account equipment and acquisition or equipment acquisition and retirement under ux my it footprint becomes agaro the aim is to align the agaro solution with the new agaro visual identity and prepare for the arrival of future products so it's good to connect my it footprint to this because I didn't before under defects and under Administration edited accounting category employee business travel under collection fixed an error on cancelling pre-checks hand created footprint ratios without a source are no longer an obstacle to the collection process fixed an error on cancelling the generation of footprint data fixed of a defect that prevented a Tec coefficient between 0er and one from being taken to account on automated sources and fixed a bug when adding a manual Source without a factor in the collection review step under data correction of an error in the R14 through 3A emission Factor under collection engine correction of complex filters on automated sources and under raise awareness corrected a display problem on the catalog em widget translated variables were not working now everybody that is how you do release notes thorough detailed let your service now administrators know what to expect when they update their application so congrats to agaro for some great release notes on their new updated application next update or next highlight is going to be Doc integrator updated version 2 8800 um and what's new in this one improv logging release notes so thank you for the team from uh snik LTD next up is going to be Splunk integration was updated version 1.1.8 and this version they updated the format for Cy created on from um year month day hour minute seconds to year month day hours minute seconds what is the difference I don't see the difference um at two Capital hes oh so it went to 24hour um time instead of the 12h hour time it looks like by using the capital HH has a difference remove the default value for in the Splunk import set table and set xor spoore Splunk sir. spunk as necessary role for SP Splunk drill down in emore alert emore event and incident tables uh that was a lot of splunking going on in the the previous description of that last bullet but that's what's new from the team at bolun next highlight is going to be from Swiss tool they updated a version 2.0.0 and oh my gosh more good release notes under the Swiss tool menu and these are new features by the way introduced a new widget to bring the launch tanium live UI UI action or button on any task based table simply by creating a true false system property called xor tore intore ui. showcore button. table name where you put in the table name that you want the button to show up in the tanium C introspect UI application scope and setting it to true for example if you want the button to show on the problem table you'd switch to the tanium C introspect UI application scope then new system property called blah blah blah blah blah um I found it interesting because I'm wondering how did they anticipate every possible table that you might want to add this to unless there's like a workflow or a trigger to say if the if the system property it's created go do something and copy the U I don't know I'm fascinated by this because uh it seems very Dynamic and very cool but I want to know how they did it I want to look under the covers and see how they did it but that's what's new from the team at T Incorporated and that my friends
