[Music] welcome to impact in this video we're going to explore developer support developer support is a vital service offered as part of our Advanced and total impact packages that assist your development team in resolving issues with customizations on the service now platform please note that developer support is a break fix support and does not cover new customizations code reviews testing or thirdparty apps developer support is ideal for customer izations that were operational but encountered issues if you have an impact developer role you can submit developer support which will be treated as a P3 support case to ensure the utmost attention is paid to resolve the issue you can designate five developer support users with an advanced impact package or manage support and 10 users with the total impact package to do this navigate to your company profile under impact and select update roll access from the actions menu select the user from the list the action icon and choose update roll access under premium access select developer support and submit now your team members can submit a developer support request they need to navigate to now support and open a case by selecting create a case choosing the case type filling in the required details and contact information and lastly submitting as a best practice it is required that the person opening the case sub submit 200 lines of code or less and be familiar with the service now platform finally while developer support covers service now hosted instances and customer hosted instances it is unavailable in restricted environments such as Australia Iraq protected data centers and there you have it if you have any questions on the impact portal please contact your squad
