ITOM Visibility & Cloud Accelerate Academy Webinar: Enabling Cloud Self-Service with Cost Controls

Import · Jul 12, 2024 · video

afternoon or good evening everyone and welcome to another amazing session of our Academy today it's a very important day because this is the first time we're talking about our broad uh service now Cloud Solutions and specifically uh we're going to be talking about really important topics around the Cloud area and really how service now can help you to really achieve more in the cloud with more governance and cost controls um I know that you uh might have seen a different flyer in terms of presenters for today uh we have a small update but still amazing on so uh in a couple of slides I'm going to show you who we have presenting today um now again this series is still part of the live on service now webinar series and uh for those of you that are not familiar with it this is an amazing opportunity for you to really uh get to talk to the uh biggest experts that we have and really learn more about our products so you can deploy them and leverage them better and having um the uh really really achieve value faster out of these implementations you can scan the QR code uh that you can see right here or alternatively you can just check the chat and you'll be able to uh use that link in order to uh subscribe to the following uh events if few housekeeping items for today so please make sure that everyone's line is muted and if you want to ask questions please make sure to Leverage The Q&A feature uh so uh we have our experts that are going to support us throughout this session and we're going to select some of your questions and answer them at the end of this webinar um if you're are doing so if you're asking questions feel free to introduce yourself as we would love to know who you are and uh you can participate in polls um whenever uh they will be uh so we have a couple of polls for today's session and we would love to uh have your answers in there this session is actually being recorded so we'll be able to watch it both on the service now Community page where uh from where I assume you registered to this or on YouTube on our community page and after this session ends you'll have a short survey to fill out this is a very small um survey that it's really precious for us so please make sure that you input your feedback on there and now without further saying uh the speaker introductions for those of you that don't know me uh my name is John Mario deluigi I'm part of the amazing outbound product management team for item covering visibility and Cloud accelerate and today with us we have another amazing presenter I know that you might have seen a different one in the um post on social media however Max couldn't make it for today's uh presentation but we have a great presenter uh that I've personally worked with uh for a a long time now which is George please George introduce yourself good morning good afternoon everyone uh my name is George marudas I've been uh with service now for almost five years and I lead our our Global Cloud business unit so that includes all our go to market activities uh really happy to be speaking with all of you today and look forward to the discussion amazing George thank you and also we do have another uh super expert that is supporting our session today which is Derek kelman and he's gonna uh support the full Q&A uh Derek is uh just joined our amazing out outbound product management team so Derek if you want to introduce yourself uh that's that'll be great hey everybody uh Derek Hitman been with service now for a little over six years uh I just as John stated I just joined the outbound product management team prior to that I was a Ser uh solution consultant for our iton practice amazing dere so you're bringing a lot of great expertise in these sessions as well so we appreciate you joining right so now that we know exactly who the speakers are going to be please uh just um make sure that you read the safe aror notice and you just keep this in mind as we may make some forward-looking statements throughout the presentation uh so please be aware of that and without further saying now today's session is going to be as usual a bit of an introduction to the products and then we're going to see an actual demo and we're going to answer your questions so we want to first of all make sure that we set the um sort of set the ground for what's going to be shown as a demo and um we're going to have George bringing us through the overview of the uh of our Cloud Solutions and then we're going to get into a little bit more detail the each single products that are included there and then we're going to show you how you should leverage them ready to succeed in your Cloud implementations but um uh yes without further saying we can proceed with the cloud Solutions over review and just one quick thing actually before we even get started uh I mentioned the polls for today and we already have our first poll now we want to better understand from you before we even start talking about our Cloud Solutions which of these service now Cloud capabilities have you uh even heard of or are you currently using so these are only a few of them and if you have any other Cloud related capabilities that you're leveraging right now now please make sure that you uh mention them in the comments however whenever we talk about Cloud uh and service now we know that some folks are not necessarily uh used to these topics that's why before we even start we want to understand which ones you know I see that a lot of you are inserting their answers so please don't be shy uh we're going to give you another five seconds and then we're going to see the results of this poll I see really interesting results for now and it's exciting to hear right so in three two one I'm going to end the poll and share the results we can see that most of you know Cloud Discovery and uh also a good amount of you is familiar with the cloud uh service graft connectors followed by those that are leveraging T governance or t based service mapping and also some of you know the cloud Services catalog and Cloud cost management product so uh yes as you may have uh understood these are all products that are going to be covered in today's session so George um I will leave it to you for the next few slides yeah so um we're also very excited to bring to you just our our Cloud Solutions uh to Market um what you see on the screen is just validation from some of the analyst Community IDC recently named us a leader um particularly as it pertains to multicloud and and hybrid Cloud environments so we're we're very excited to to get that type of press coverage and awareness um I know again many people know s now is just a it uh type of organization but we have a very strong Cloud presence and the analyst Community is aware of it next slide okay so what is it that we do right what's our goal and of course um we're a workflow company and we're looking to help you simplify an a made all those complex Cloud processes uh into a single platform we understand there's a lot of Point Solutions in the market for for different segments of of addressing Cloud needs um we have a singular platform that we think we can help you simplify do tool consolidation and you know we're working with well over 2,000 customers um already on how to identify Cloud assets uh automate uh make things flexible and of course do it with security and cost controls um so many of you are are probably working with one of these three um hyperscalers and um Cloud providers and you can tell just by whether you have one two three or or more most organizations we work with have at least two to three um they signed really big commits and you know if you look at the the framework there's complexity to try to understand how do you make it easy how do you how do you give uh provision correctly how do you make sure people stay within their allocated budgets and then to do that across multiple platforms with different naming conventions and different protocols is is super complex we've simplified the process within service now we make it under one simple three-step process that we're going to talk about and so we want to bring a lot of Simplicity um and and all the controls in place so that you have uh trust with your Cloud uh Journey so we we mentioned our kind of three-pillar process of plan scale and operate uh we we can of course help you with all three today we're going to focus solely on scale that's where we think it's our foundational pillar that's where strategy and execution meet um majority of organizations that we're dealing with uh have a vision have a strategy have committed to a digital transformation that's powered by Cloud transformation and this is where it's important to not only identify uh Cloud assets um and resources but also make sure that they're automating and promoting it internally and making sure that doing it thoughtfully with the correct cost controls uh in place and correct type of governance so you want to simplify and automate um and just do it very thoughtfully amazing George just I see that we have a question already whether this deck is going to be um available to everyone yes it is going to be available to everyone and right after this session actually a few days after this session on the same Community page where you could enroll into the session and uh for those asking about cpg and Cloud Center we get we'll get to that in a moment but that's exactly a big part of what we're going to talk about today um and just coming back to what George just said right out of those three pillars we want to focus on the most strategic one for every one of you that wants to get from a plan to an actual operation in terms of how to really um make the most out of your cloud deployments and make sure that you leverage that investment in the cloud we always start from people and we want to simplify the journey both from a cloud request point of view and also from a cloud uh Service delivery point of view and specifically with these Cloud products that we're going to talk about today we're we're helping the generic employee that needs some Cloud resources to be available so then uh you know all all the other ones that are going to make those Cloud resources available and manage them such as the cloud Discovery manager there is doing the inventory around those resources the cloud enablement team or Cloud Center of Excellence or Cloud infrastructure team if you want they need to provision those resources and manage them throughout their life cycle and then the cloud fups manager controllers they really need to make sure to keep costs under control and if you look at the problems and issues that these uh uh different actors are facing and uh we can simplify in two ways right from the cloud service request if you ever requested for a cloud resource to be provision it's typically really cumbersome George was showcasing different Cloud providers out there and each of the those Cloud providers have different processes to spin up new Cloud resources and each company can be using different tools for each of those uh providers so that the average user doesn't necessarily know the tool doesn't necessarily have the knowledge on what to insert in those forms doesn't necessarily know where the actual process is at so once the request is triggered if there is a process behind they don't necessarily have transparency on that and it takes forever we keep hearing this over and over again from every one of you that these processes take forever and same thing for the cloud service delivery we have lack of cloud visibility is really hard to get a complete inventory that is a live representation of your Cloud deployments these Cloud resources are hard to manage and to optimize and there is lack of Automation in order to automatically approve these requests based on specific rules so to enforce eventually governance with with an automated fashion and Cloud governance can be enabled in two ways from a sort of conceptual SL architectural point of view to say okay this virtual machine in this size is approved otherwise it's not or can be in terms of cost controls to bring costs down and we talk about processes why do we talk about processes because all these people are working together and they have different interactions that need to be regulated and they uh are actually resulting in complex processes as you can see we want to simplify all this with automated workflows that's the main thing that we want to CH and how do we do the simplification at a high level you'll be wondering it's very easy think about the cloud accounts in first place you have yes you do have accounts subscription in projects based on your uh cloud provider but we do have a UniFi cloud service account CI class to help you manage them in the same way and same applies to Cloud resources where you have different categories such as availability Z VM storage volumes and for the most of them we have a standardized approach so they have your you have standard resource categories so you can manage them in the same way and then for cloud costs is the exact same thing Cloud costs are very complex to manage across Cloud providers because Cloud providers identify cost categories in different ways so you don't know exactly in a given month how much you're spending for as an example storage across all of your Cloud providers what we do is that we take all the uh Cloud providers information we normalize the cost categories so that you can do this cross analysis across the board across any of your deployments essentially this is just to say before we even talk about products the service now platform is giving you an underlining machine an underlining set of tools to really simplify your usage of cloud and now George if you want to add to this slide yourself because yeah yeah thanks John so um again many of you are in the process or are a little bit further along with just being able to identify discover all your Cloud resources and assets and bring them back into cmdb it's a perfect launching pad to then be able to um go into you know enabling self-service and Automation and making sure that you're able to provide um Cloud access to those individuals or development teams that that need it and to do it seamlessly to avoid you know having um either long delay and lag time or just complexity of I don't know where to go and how to get started so and then from that we want to make sure we're doing it with just effective um Cloud U Cloud cost controls so it's a very easy workflow process uh we've worked with many customers on it if you're all interested after you go through and you see some of the demo we'd love to just you know either have a workshop to talk about your specific use case or or where you think there might be um bottlenecks in this whole workflow process thank you George yeah so you said it right in order to help all those four personas that we talked about before we really have three simple SKS three simple set of products that help you achieve um everything that we said before so basically inventory self-service with governance and cost control super easy yet it's not that easy to put it in in place if you don't have the right tools that's why I want to bring you now we're going to have just a couple of slides on the actual products that we're going to talk about today which are included in the visibility skew the cloud accelery ski and the cloud cost management skew and then we're going to get into proper demo and I know Derek is supporting with the Q&A section so uh thanks for that Derek as well now what we're going to see is first of all how do you do the inventory of your Cloud environments and that is done in a very streamlined way with uh the cloud Discovery for cloud Discovery you'll be thinking of different approaches that you might have seen But essentially what we do is uh we bring the data from your Cloud developments uh deployment ments into your uh cmdb and we do that in a way that you can monitor your Cloud resources in a very streamline way through a dedicated workspace which is called the cloud Discovery workspace and we're going to see that in a minute so you can set up your schedules uh check your mid servers check your credentials service accounts and uh really explore the different resources all from a single pin of glass then we can help you manage those resources at scale by leveraging tag governance so each of those resources is taged not only in the cmtb but in the cloud itself what we do is we get those uh keys and values and we help you create first of all policies so that you can establish okay what are your rules in terms of tagging how do you want your resources to be taged then we scan your resources against these policies to assess which ones are compliant and which ones are not and then we can do automated remediation not only in the cmdb but also in the cloud so your resources are managed smoothly in an automated fashion not only that but we can do tag based service mapping and you can leverage those tags in order to create service Maps or if you have other methods that you want to leverage for service mapping such as machine learning service mapping or the top down service mapping you can also leverage those methodologies but essentially what we want to say is yes you have your tags done then you get your tags and you leverage them to build service maps in a nutshell so you have a correlation of how your infrastructure is impacting your application Services then after that we have the uh self-service at scale with govern that is achieved with cloud services catalog so this will be part of your employee Center and you have a single place where all the authorized users will go to request for new resources and everything is streamlined with automated flows so that you don't need to necessarily go and manually prove every single request and they have it easy to fill out those requests themselves so you're controlling who can uh request for what and at the same time they have a view on everything that is being requested and you have automated ways to approve at scale those requests in order to manage them at scale and once you have done that you'll be wondering yes but what about the cloud accounts well we're coming up with and it's as a matter of fact already available in Innovation lab uh with a new product that is called cloud account management which is a essentially a sort of selfservice interface for you to request for new Cloud accounts again at scale across environments and to really manage those accounts to enforce attestation so you know who owns them to enforce rules and uh so you're enforcing governance within those accounts and we are also making sure that you can manage all of the discovered accounts not only the ones that have been provisioned now if you go to the Innovation lab you'll be already able to find this uh product so you can try it out for free in a sub production instance whenever you have the item visibility entitlement and this is a really cool feature and with the Innovation lab you can really uh see how it works for you you can provide us with feedback and we're happy to listen to it and after you you have established these controls in order to regulate your selfservice for cloud resources you can actually establish remediations in order to fix your Cloud costs as a matter of fact with Cloud cost management which is part of the itam offering you'll be able to establish which resources need to be optimized or which ways you have to reduce your Cloud costs what we're going to do now is I'm going to stop sharing my screen and we are going to go through a demo so we can see these products actually in action just one second and here we go so George can you see my screen perfect so we talked about these products and uh specifically about discovering and creating an inventory for your Cloud resources for that you can navigate to workspaces and go to the cloud Discovery workspace which is the Central Paint of glass for you to manage any Discovery Cloud resource what can you do from here you can first of all select which Cloud providers you want to manage with it so that in this case specifically you can manage AWS Azure IBM you select which ones you want to manage in this case we selected these four and once you selected them you can then go and have a look properly at okay how many CIS am I discovering in general what is the trend over time and then what events if you're doing event based event driven Discovery for your Cloud environments in events I'm not talking about don't don't get confused with the other sort of event management use cases but these are configuration events so that means that essentially you're bringing the live updates from your Cloud environments into the cmdb and updating live your CIS whenever they change in terms of configuration between one Discovery schedule and another then we can navigate first of all to the cloud Discovery section and we have a full-on dashboard that shows us okay how many Cloud Discovery runs have we run over the past 30 days which ones have been cancelled which ones are the upcoming schedules the total CIS and errors that have been found uh what about the C mids server which ones are up and down how many servic accounts do we currently have how many credentials we currently have for each of the environments and then for the cloud VMS how are they distributed is an example by data centers now not only that but it's we can go to the cloud Discovery schedules and see how they're doing so most of them are up and running with zero errors we can simply uh edit them in this case so we can show you how you can set up these uh Cloud Discovery schedules in this case we just need to uh select a name which provider we already know that it's an AWS one we can Auto Select the mid server in this case it already uh we have one that is up and running and we can click next then we set up the service account or a master account whenever we want to to discover multiple uh service accounts at once and we insert our credentials we can test it so that we can make sure that the account is validated and working so we don't get any errors in the cloud Discovery schedules and we can click next then we can select either all data centers or specific data centers that we want to discover based on the uh specific needs that we have and after that we can select to do IP based Discovery so not only the um sort of topology Discovery or metadata Discovery but on top of that we want to discover the virtualized layer to do the OS Discovery in this case uh we can we have turned it on and then for the schedule we can select how often do we want it to run so you can see how easy it is to set up a cloud Discovery schedule and double uh in this case with this specific Cadence double run and that will identify okay what is the configuration of our Cloud environment specifically for that for those service counts that we are targeting so again Cloud Discovery um is uh you know the cloud Discovery dashboard allows you to configure mid servers the schedules credentials service account errors Etc any uh questions Derek in the meantime there are a few questions um I've tried to answer most of them um there are a few that I I I really can't answer to be quite honest no worries at all I feel like yeah just in case there is something to bring up um that will be useful for everyone uh but either way we're going to have a Q&A section at the very end so actually let's get let's just keep going through the overall interface so we're still within the cloud Discovery workspace and you'll be wondering okay we have discovered we have set up our mid servers our schedules we have executed those schedules so we brought back uh we populated our cmtb and now how do we do uh what is the best approach in order to see what we are currently discovering well we have the cloud resources explorer that it allows you to uh have a quick look and have a better understanding of all the cloud resources that you have discovered across uh not only the cloud environments but also VMware um Venter deployments in this case these are the four platforms that we selected so that's why they are appearing there we can select the specific service accounts regions or even what kind of CIS we want to view so if we want to see a specific VMR categories or virtual machine instances as an example um we can select what we want to see in this case we see that we have um the a consistent amount of aw2 instance and Azure VMS even more that we have discovered but again uh we can select the best view that it's uh useful for us then we have the CIS that are divided by regions or by uh cloud service accounts what are the incoming events that we can identify in this case for AWS and then um what is the total Cloud resources so what is our uh what have we discovered so far on Prem versus in the cloud in this case we can see see that uh it's everything has been discovered in the cloud for us now that's the second part of the cloud discovering workspace but we can aage the third part which is the kubernetes Explorer the kubernetes Explorer is dedicated as its name suggests to all the emal resources that are being discovered we have insights on the Clusters nodes name spaces Services there have been uh uh discovered and the pods distribution or even pods by Nam space in this case and we can dig deeper into the specific if we want Docker images um we can easily uh click in one of these and we'll have a dependency view that opens up and we'll be able to if there are any uh of if we have discovered further information such as container image o packages or if there are docking container Associated to them or pods we'll be able to see them in the main view so this is a really great way for us to see not only specific resources but also uh the resources related to the ones that we have discovered so again just in a nutshell once you bring back everything to your cmdb the cloud Discovery workspace is your best ally to really have a clear representation of everything that you are discovering to set up your Cloud Discovery and to to make sure that it's um stable and it's successful now um let's that's clearly the scenario where the cloud Discovery manager um is having a great visibility of what's been deployed and they have been re enabled to succeed in their Cloud Discovery Journey but when it comes to the self-service scenario we have again those two aspects of of the requestor and the um Cloud uh provisioner let's say cloud service provisioner right so from a requestor perspective we are now in the employee Center cloud services catalog is the um very cool feature that uh every customer is excited about and you should know about it that really allows you to have a really easy way for any anyone that is authorized to do so to request any of the resources now just to give to put it in simple words this is not referring to any provisioning capabilities because service now is the platform of platforms what that means is that we integrate with whatever you're using so if you already have your infrastructure is called templates we ingest them and we can create adog catalog items or if you're leveraging terraform we do integrate with terraform we do integrate with aning we do integrate with Azure um uh devops uh pipeline in this case so we have an Azure devops integration and you can see all the outof the Box Cog items that are here and they are uh for AWS azurine gcp that means that these colog items are already there out of the box and you don't need to do anything you just install the apps and you do a bit of configuration uh because these uh three categories are leveraging terraform to provision in the cloud and you have them out of the box out otherwise as I was mentioning we have an anible integration in Azure um Ado uh so Azure devops pipeline integration you can see other test catalog items that have been set up in this instance and and uh that's why again I was mentioning that you can really do um any customization to this portal but now let's see how um once anyone wants to let's say provision in NWS E2 instance they would just click on that item and this is the out of the box view that means that we already populated a lot of these fields as you can see um out of the box but this doesn't mean that that's it as a matter of fact you could customize this form to be automatically prefilled based on whoever is requesting for that and not only that you can even select okay which environments uh this will be provision into is it Deo development production or test and then if as an example we want to leverage since it's in out of the box capability we want to install the agent client collector directly on the provisioned virtual machine so that will mean that we have a push based discovery that is automatically triggered from that provision virtual machine that means that we have a super update cmdb with uh control and we can also select which uh governance policy scans we want to execute on that specific resource that means that we Define our Cloud governance policies and uh for each in this casee we have an AWS VM Hardware type policy and we can scan that virtual machine as soon as it's provisioned to see if it's compliant that's what I meant by self-service with Automation and control so you can make sure that everyone is just ordering or is able to order only a certain type of Linux flavor or only a certain type of uh size so that you're keeping your costs and deployments under control and in this case we already offered pre-approval workflows such as the specific sizes of VMS are pre- approved otherwise we trigger the task so that a um whoever needs to approve these requests will be notified and there will be a specific task created for them to approve now this is really cool right but this is not it already because you can navigate to any of the provision resources in this case we've open one of uh the VMS and we can have day to operations such as resize start and stop this specific virtual machine instance we can execute a job template um um we can do these are all customizable these are some of the out of the box ones but we can customize any of these so you have full control once you have deployed these virtual machines or these Cloud resources so have day to actions and really manage them in the most optimal way as a matter of fact if we go back to the my resources dashboard we can see exactly um which resources have been provisioned not only for virtual machine instance but uh as an example the load balancers in the cloud the internet gateways Cloud network storage volumes Etc and this is not only the ones that have been provisioned with cloud services catalog but any discovered resource Source this is the power of the cloud services catalog and if we want to act on the uh provisioned Stacks if you're not familiar with the concept of a stack is simply grouping of cloud resources such as virtual server network interface card and storage volume then you have different actions that you can uh actually carry and since we can look at the different activities and uh Beauty dependency we can see that there are perhaps scheduled operations or tasks or incidents change requests Associated to it so we have a full view of everything that is associated to that specific stack in this case they've been terminated um but again we can have full control on the uh specific uh Stacks is in this case we can go again to the activities and see that we have schedule operations such as upcoming lease end what does that mean that again we can decide to have automated workflows to deprovision our resources whenever we want with uh a subsequent control on the cost that we could potentially have and the impacts on our workloads now we talked about about these costs but how do you effectively manage costs at scale well clock cost management is there for three principles number one have a clear breakdown of what you're spending across Cloud providers number two understand your budget create budget so you know exactly which buus are uh either exceeding the budget or um about to exceed the budget in the future are forecasted to do that in the future so you can take proactive actions and then three you have automated uh recommendations so that you can actually act and um as you can see here is we'll see in a moment you can drastically reduce your costs now um we're going to see first of all the first part of spending in clost management dashboard offers you an offering of how much you spent this month what is your total budget and the forecasted variance and how much you can already save then if we scroll down we can Group by as an example uh service category or we can change it up to uh cloud service as an example um we can leave it to Cloud uh to service category in this in this case and we can expand it to 12 months that means that as I said before we help you to rationalize and normalize the costs across Cloud providers so you can go to November of 2023 and say okay storage across my cloud providers was definitely the biggest cost item or last month we can see the database was my biggest cost item across my club providers and if we go back to providers in the last 12 months we can see okay what are we spending the most clearly AWS in the last month but then there's b a big variance on Azure on in May so we can investigate why why we have these events and again you can break it down whatever you want you can click on each one of those bar charts and then have these pend analytics capability to re investigate more specifically about what's happening and filter out based on all these different categories so you really have a clear breakdown then we can do a um not only actually for the spend analysis we can even see what is the forecast in terms of spend and we can see that okay in November there is a predicted huge increase in spend um specifically for the forecasted Azure spend so we can proactively identify those Trends and act on them before they impact your bills then for Budget we can set up specific budgets and for those that have been already set up in there we can easily uh select the budget not only versus current spend but also the forecasted spent so we can see that marketing Ops is an example is requested to exceed the budget Way Beyond the current threshold or same thing applies for Coe platform so again we can investigate why this is happening in a proactive way and we can re identify the root causes you would be at this point trying to understand yes but how do we do that at scale and how do we have a crucial centralized way to identify these opportunities to uh drastically reduce spent with the automated recommendations as a matter of fact you have business hour specific or uh right sizing unused resources or even reservation or saving plans recommendations based on specific priorities for you to really achieve specific monthly savings and we can go into the proper view where you'll be able to view in detail for each category of these recommendations which are the suggestions that will be the most impactful as a as a matter of fact if we go to the uh overview of all these recommendations or even if we go to the right sizing part of it we'll be able to uh quickly access which right sizing opportunities do we have across which category in this case we have a huge opportunity for storage than computes and database in terms of right sizing those resources then we can get into the monthly savings we can order these uh suggestions based on monthly savings and then we can see what is the interval of confidence so uh which ones of these recommendations are the most accurate and then what is the rational behind them so you can have all these control and then once you want to select specific recommendations you can either schedule that specific job to be executed or you can even exclude them or edit them so that depends on the rights that you have but essentially you'll be creating tasks for the cloud teams they will be then proceeding to optimize your Cloud deployments now this is a quick overview of our Solutions but before we get to the final part of today's presentation what I wanted to mention you is that if you go to Ser store. Serv now.com and then you click in The Innovation lab section and if you look up for a cloud account management you'll be able to try it out on your sub production instances for free if you have the visibility entitlement so this is a great massive opportunity for you not only to try this out but also to provide us with feedback and for you to influence the future of our products in a concrete way so I'm going to share my uh final slides right now um just in a second just one second please and I'm going to take on a couple of questions can you see my screen okay now perfect so we saw the demo and before we get into the questions I'm actually going to trigger the final Poll for today we essentially want to know from you after today's session after having seen these products in use which products are you the most interested in and I know that we didn't cover each one of them in today's section but I want you to really um give us claims on which ones are the most interesting for you I'm pretty sure that there's a lot of excitement this is what we currently see while leading our worldwide workshops so uh this will be a great insight for us I see about a third of you have participated 40% keep the answers coming in and we'll share these results in a second thank you all for your inputs I'm going to end the poll now and share results we see that uh yeah we are basically um you're interested in most of in all of these products that we talked about today and yes if you have specific recommendations for uh just dedicated sessions on either or or each of these products make sure that you fill out the uh form uh the survey at the end of this session so we're super happy to hear back from you now um in the meantime I'm going to see and uh I'm going to skip this slide for now uh if there are any questions so right can you manage cost by uh capex or opix well it as you can see the you can have a clear breakdown of costs however it's uh the division is more intended to be granular from a either bu perspective or cost category perspective you have a lot of granularities so uh I would invite you to go through the documentation see all the uh available uh filtering options that you have in there then how to avoid duplication in tax that's a great uh question question uh pratica we do have tag governance app that is going to uh allow you to enforce your uh policies around TXS you can create Uh custom policies and potentially include scripts in order to avoid duplication in tags um so that's a super great question then how is this topic related to item visibility this is another great question basically half or not half a third of the story that we presented today is related to item visibility I want to just get back to the um one of the previous uh slides where we basically talked about uh right this three we talked about Cloud Discovery uh which is related to item visibility and that includes the um uh the cloud Discovery workspace that we' seen uh so the ability for you to do uh Cloud Discovery um is also grants you the entitlement to service craft connectors uh for the cloud you have the ability to leverage tag governance and you have the ability to leverage T Base Service mapping um so all those elements are part of itone visibility then yes this recording will be available to rewatch on the service now um Community registration page for this event and and on YouTube the community channel so how does this uh Cloud cost tied to other costing on the platform doing similar costing I think you're referring to the specific um costs um such as the cost that you can associate to a specific col item in this case these cost are have a much bigger granularity so uh we're essentially ingesting the costs from the cloud providers and we are normalizing them so that you have a unique view of your spending across different Cloud providers and on top of that cost controls so I believe we answer most of these uh questions and I'm going to get to one final slide um just to recap for those of you that I've seen a few questions that are on cloud services catalog so if you're interested in uh Cloud accelery U related capabilities which is one of the pieces that we talked about today just want to make sure that you understand that CL again we are the platform of platforms and we integrate with whatever you have so it's if you're leveraging terraform or anible we integrate with those tools to provision in the clouds if you're leveraging Cloud native templates we do integrate with those and we can discover your infrastructure is called templates and uh create catalog items in minutes if you're leveraging devops pipelines we do have the integration with Azure devops Pipeline and on top of these Integrations we offer you out of the box a terraform based catalog items for Azure AWS and gcp that you can see here and out of the box Integrations again with anable in uh Azure devops integration uh on top of that we have policy checks um we have day to actions can customize and plenty of other um options for you so it's a really really uh complete and uh really comprehensive set of capabilities now I think we can um yes uh I just want to share these two slides with you if you're interested in more sessions please make sure that you enroll into the live on service now webinar series and uh if you want to watch the previews sessions the previous episodes please make sure that you leverage this QR code and you can in that way see the recordings of our previous sessions and um if you want to leverage this link it will be available again with this deck on the same uh webinar uh item um visibility in Cloud acceler academy uh Community page and I guess that was it for today so thanks a lot George and thanks a lot Derek for your great great presentations and support thanks everyone for participating in this amazing session we really appreciate your feedback please make sure you fill out your survey if you have any suggestion for us for our future sessions um please make sure you include them in
