hello and welcome to service's low code appdev capability deep dive in this nine-part series we're going to take a look at the various aspects of the service now platform that Empower creators of all skill levels with the ability to rapidly build highquality scalable and easy to govern apps let's move on to user experience design service now allows users to create experiences for any modality their end users require including web mobile and conversational interfaces the foundation of our user experience design is service now's proprietary ux framework we call the next experience this framework delivers an intuitive personalized experience for all users that enables our customers to drive productivity improve engagement and facilitate UI creation and customization by building our own ux platform we're no longer dependent upon external dependencies for Innovation and can ensure that our product experience exceeds the expectations of our customer base in addition to building our products on the next experience we let our customers build with it one way is through our workspaces workspaces provide a dynamic web experience within which agents and fulfillers can perform work these workspaces also serve as a great dashboard for executive reporting we can create a simple yet highly capable workspace using workspace Builder this tool gives us a what you see is what you get style approach to UI design allowing us to easily configure items like lists of our data static content and data visualizations these components are easily managed using a configuration pane these workspaces can even be edited live with a feature we call inline editing users also have the ability to create pre-filtered lists and customize the type of advanced features they want within their workspace such as enabling analytics Center which provides out of thebox natural language querying to benefit from an extended range of UI capabilities more advanced users can leverage UI Builder you can either start from your workspace created in workspace Builder or create a net new page from there you'll have access to over 200 out-of-the-box components that provide the ability to add data visualizations buttons navigation 3D visualizations maps carousels timelines chat Bots and much more UI Builder can create much more than just workspaces though it can create fully featured internal or customer facing portals for any type of web-based interaction we provide a comprehensive set of prod developer tools within this Builder that allow for the creation of dynamic web apps with any level of data integration via our data resources client State and client script options this Builder also provides the option to set up audiences and Associated page variants so that you can provide a customized experience for select sets of users we can also make our portals available as Progressive web apps if desired should an app require a mobile interface we offer a robust Builder that allows for the creation of native Android and iOS mobile apps to do so we leverage mobile app builder from within app engine Studio this IDE lets users create a single mobile app using our hierarchical model-based approach and then surface it through either our official service now mobile app or as their own completely custom branded application in the case the customer wants their own custom mobile app we provide a guided workflow to help them walk through all the details including the app stores they want the publish to the type of branding they desire along with other key details about the app we'll then build and test the app for them before providing packages necessary for deployment to both Apple and Google App Stores even though we offer custom mobile publishing most customers opt to leverage our out-of-the-box app as it eliminates the need to deal with the Apple and Google App Store publishing process regardless of their choice our customers can take advantage of features like offline accessibility easy integration with their app data and Automation and a templatized app development structure that simplifies collaboration and reuse our mobile apps support integration with mobile capabilities like voice camera and GPS The enduser Experience provided by these mobile apps is streamlined and consumer grade just like our outof the-box offerings providing an easy way to inter interact with any aspect of the low code app from data to automation catalog items are another key user experience for our customers these provide end users the ability to interact with Dynamic forums to request goods or services our guided process helps users of all experience levels create any type of form even those involving complex conditional logic once the form is built users can manage all Associated details like the location of the offering Associated settings like attachments and and specify the Fulfillment process which will be driven by our workflow automation tools we allow the users to preview their form in a web portal a mobile interface and virtual agent chatbot view we've even embedded generative AI Within catalog Builder allowing our users to rapidly create full catalog items with a simple prompt this complements our app generation capability for users that want to create additional catalog items after the initial app creation stage service now also provides two mechanisms to support more complex multi-stage forms the first is a concept we call order guides which provides a framework to systematically process a multi-stage fulfillment by dynamically populating subsequent stages with information entered previously we also offer the ability to leverage a more advanced automation construct that we call a Playbook directly into a customer's service portal we'll cover playbooks in more detail later but essentially this gives the ability to surface a completely guided experience with embedded automation right through a catalog item whether going through the web or mobile app the users of these low code apps will also be able to interact via a conversational interface this chatbot is known as the virtual agent and is available to help users using a combination of AI and nlu Technology under the hood the chatbot is designed using a tool called virtual agent designer we have an array of usable components here on the left the interactive stage and the center and our config panel on the right virtual agent designer makes it possible design to design even the most complex chat flow logic using simple drag and drop functions spanning three main categories user input bot responses and utilities like conditionals users can leverage the nlu capabilities of virtual agent to determine when this topic should be triggered you can see that we have a variety of common phrases the user might say but the nlu engine under the hood ensures that even permutation of these utterances will trigger a match if so inclined we can even train this model further in an on platform capability we call nlu workbench we can also add Dynamic translation in our app using an outof thebox platform feature in the language tab we can see all the languages available to us on the platform we can leverage this capability to translate to 23 of the most common languages around the globe our Dynamic translation also supports all of the catalog items we created earlier here we can see here that if we change our local to Spanish and navigate back to catalog Builder we'll find our experience fully translated in web mobile and chatbot experiences another great way to build conversational interfaces is to leverage now assist for virtual agent this new gen powered capability allows you to automatically incorporate aspects of your low code apps like your catalog items directly into your virtual agent conversations without the need to build out a custom topic like the one shown here thanks for watching and join us for
