Import · May 21, 2024 · article

Hello ServiceNow Family,

I have started a Article series on more compelling Module ServiceNow Human Resources.

In many companies, HR spends a significant amount of time on repetitive tasks such as responding to emails, managing chats, and using Excel for employee cases.

Additionally, the absence of a centralized service catalog hinders employees from easily raising cases. ServiceNow HRSD addresses these issues by automating routine tasks, enabling HR professionals to deliver services to employees more efficiently and promptly.

It is for Whom :-

ServiceNow Human Resources Service Delivery (HRSD) is designed for use by both employees and HR professionals across the organization

HR case Management :-

After an 'HR request' is submitted via the HR Catalog, ServiceNow's HR application is used to fulfill these requests. HR Case Management encompasses all these cases.

HR cases contain details of HR requests, such as information inquiries, and HR processes, like onboarding. Users can submit HR cases through the HR Service Portal, the HR Catalog, or manually using the "new" button.

Example HR Request

An employee named Able wants to learn about the company’s leave policy and discuss the work-from-home policy.

  1. Able submits an HR request asking for information about the company’s leave policy and requests a meeting to discuss the work-from-home policy.
  2. An HR case is created and assigned to an HR agent, such as a specialist or generalist, based on assignment rules.
  3. The HR agent processes the HR case, creating two HR tasks for this two-part request. Each task is assigned to the appropriate user for processing.
  4. Once all tasks are completed, the HR case is closed.

HR profile :-

In ServiceNow, an HR profile is a comprehensive record that contains detailed information about an employee. This profile is part of the HR Service Delivery (HRSD) module and serves as a central repository for employee-related data, which HR professionals use to manage and deliver HR services effectively. The HR profile typically includes:

  1. Personal Information: Name, contact details, date of birth, and address.
  2. Employment Information: Job title, department, manager, employment status, and hire date.
  3. Compensation and Benefits: Salary details, benefits enrollment, and compensation history.
  4. Work History: Previous roles within the company, performance reviews, and promotions.
  5. Skills and Qualifications: Education background, certifications, training, and skills.
  6. HR Cases and Requests: History of HR cases and service requests submitted by or related to the employee.
