Enterprise agile planning is a versatile workspace for planning and tracking Enterprise level Agile development projects with a focus on goals and team performance you can get EAP by installing the strategic planning application from the service now store each level in the agile structure has a home backlog and planning board tab the Home tab is a set of dashboards for individual teams Agile Release trains solution trains portfolios here's a team dashboard it shows the team's progress in the current Sprint their Sprint goals and their velocity across Sprints the art dashboard shows progress in the current planning interval work item distribution and child teams performance there's also a dashboard for solution trains and one for portfolios these dashboards help you focus on your goals and the performance of the child teams the backlog tab for each team in the agile structure shows the work assigned to the team this is the backlog for DB team1 here the teams assign stories are grouped by Sprint we can open any Sprint to see the individual stories and here's the backlog of the team's unscheduled stories we can click the description to see more details for an art the backlog tab shows features is grouped by planning interval by default you can change the grouping in the personalized panel for a solution train the backlog shows capabilities grouped by child art and for a portfolio epics are grouped by child solution train let's go back to DB Team 1 here we can create the next Sprint for the team and create new stories and other work items we can personalize The Columns in our view and filter the work items it shows here in the story list we can move stories from one Sprint to another or to the backlog or from the backlog to any Sprint we can also Mark a Sprint complete and start the next Sprint the planning board shows teams workloads and dependencies and lets you plan work for multiple teams across Sprints here's the planning interval for an art with the stories for DB teams 1 and two by default the stories in the art planning board are grouped horizontally by child team and vertically by Sprint the personalized panel lets us change these groupings we can also add the team's backlog to the board the personalized panel also lets us change the information on the story cards full-size cards can show the story number and indicators for blocked and dependencies the card can also show up to five more items we're seeing the story state in points let's add a sign to and here it is the compact card size just shows the story number in short description planning interval goals shows what we plan to achieve for the pi we can identify goals for individual Sprints as well here are the goals for DB team1 Sprint 3 the planning board shows each team's capacity a blue bar means the team can take on more work and a red bar means the team is overloaded we can also see the dependencies among the stories a purple Arrow shows a dependency where the stories are in the correct order with the prerequisite story scheduled before the dependent story AO Arrow shows a dependency where both stories are in the same sprint so rrap sure they'll be completed in the correct order a red arrow shows a dependency where the stories are in the wrong order move stories to different Sprints to resolve dependency issues and create a dependency by dragging from the prerequisite story to the dependent Story the backlog and planning board tabs work together for example here in the backlog tab for art one let's create the next planning interval here's the new pi and now on the planning board here's the new pi and here are the new Sprints that EAP created for the pi now we can move stories from the backlog to the Sprints Enterprise agile planning helps you scale your agile practices through cross Team Planning and tracking with a focus on goals and team performance to learn more see our product documentation or knowledge base or ask a question in the service now community
