Import · Mar 26, 2024 · video

[Music] okay we are at the top of the hour so we are going to go ahead and get started so uh good morning wherever you're at or afternoon or evening thank you for joining the platform analytics Academy March 20th have some really great content for you all today so real quickly I'll just go through some alleg logistical information and share that with you if you're new welcome if you're a returner welcome back so real quickly so these are always for you we try as best we can to bring fresh ideas better understanding and some practical guidance to everything that relates to platform analytics uh this is being recorded so feel free to sit back and just watch and observe um you will be able to see this either later on today in the community or uh tomorrow once we get the recording back it will also be out on YouTube so just know that all that information is there please feel free to ask questions if you could ask those in the Q&A rather than the chat we have panelists on that can answer questions if they can answer those while the content is being uh covered they'll do that via type if we need to stop at a certain point during the content and ask that question because it's relevant to where we are we'll do that as well uh but feel free to ask all the questions that you want uh Safe Harbor I don't know if there's necessarily anything in this with the Washington release that just happened but there could very well be some things in here so we want to make sure that we all always uh share the Safe Harbor so understand that around making decisions and uh my name is Thomas Davis and I'm the host and uh Marta is on today she's going to present uh Adam may or may not be on We are on some team meetings in Santa Clara uh so he may or may not and we have Olga here uh as well so today we're going to talk about platform analytics migration Center so this is something that we visited late in the uh year last year just go ahead and start getting people uh comfortable and familiar with it and we felt it was important to go ahead and do this again especially because of the Washington release and that did happen yesterday so we felt it was important for us to um go ahead and share this again and there'll be a little bit of changes but Marty is the guru as it relates to this and she is um luckily giving us some time uh that she's actually going to cover this so with that Marty if you're ready you can definitely take over perfect thank you very much hi everyone um and indeed uh as mentioned this is out and about because what I'm going to present to you today um is actually been delivered with Washington uh might give some hints here and there on which are the future plans um so safe farbor on that on that but everything else that I will demo is actually part of the Washington release um so I will do the presentation but definitely there are great colleagues that you can see their names in this in the slides that have helped on the presentation and on the delivery of the product itself um so um what is the migration scope let's start from the beginning uh so we are now talking about the core uis at least a lot of you most probably are performing your analytics uh capabilities and jobs in in the core UI but then it's like what is in the scope of development migration is like we are going to move the responsive dashboards into the new inine dashboard editor uh we are moving the reports designer and Pa widget form into a one more consistent visualization designer and reports and Pa widgets are now under the same umbrella and the same uh bucket that is the save data visualizations and then we have the interactive filters before also we had interactive filters and breakdown filters now we have theid filters that work across multiple data sources and they can be reused in tabs uh or like above tabs um for for the different tables indicators so there is way less setup and more unification and that's really um what in our goals is like we want to deliver a modern intuitive analytics experience for all the service now data and especially that is a consistent um and that it's like uh bringing the best that we had in the coreui and placing it in the platform analytics experience with a more modern look and feel so with this migration um what we are migrating is mainly the um UI layer we are moving data across it's like we are changing where the tables and the information are stored between the responsive dashboards and the new platform analytics dashboards between reports PA widgets and the new save visualization and so on but nothing is changing on the indicators and the data that actually are collecting or your tables that you have regarding your process es so what are the new values and what are the benefits of moving to platform analytics experience so we have the inine editing experience so it's like there is one place in our dashboards that we call dashboard Eline editor in which you can actually view the presentation level uh of your data your storytelling part but as well you can create your content directly on the dashboard uh that will also benefit on the fact that if you want to uh reduce like the amount of people that can create the sav reports uh and the sav data visualizations then they still have the option to just create dashboards for themselves um on top uh of like Standalone that visualization that are available only from that dashboards and they are not reusable across so the other part is that agnostic visualizations uh in this case before we add U the PA widget forms and the report designer that were different on the creation flow on the configuration of the different items uh and of the different settings of the charts um and we want to bring way more consistency and that's what we have work towards to have the thata visualizations to have one visualization designer that allows you to create data on top of all the data sources that we support and at this point in time we are supporting table data the performance analytics indicators metric based user experience analytics as well as as out log analytics and as mentioned on the unification side unified filter is definitely a big topic for us um and something that might have been quite painful in the past to understand why a filter wasn't applying to some charts but was applying to others and where they were working um in inside the tabs across the tabs so we are now have one unified filtering system that will allow to uh actually filter the data across all the data visualizations and uh we are moving towards way more data agnostic filters that will support also um the uh filtering above on top of user experience analytics and on top of el uh Al log and analytics proactive Insight um I believe a session uh will come soon if has not already been done um in which we will showcase uh the new insights that are available from the dashboards uh these insights are automatically extracted based on the indicators and Co actually alert you regarding any uh targets uh situation not reached regarding anything regarding forecast and so on yeah and Mar of that will be April 17th we have a session for that perfect uh data caching um we definitely want to improve on the performance and really focus more and more uh on the performance that we have of our that visualization as well of our dashboards so uh we are and Olga has done a session um I think two weeks before uh regarding the caching so definitely go and check that one out and uh see all the improvements that we' have done to make sure that for some dashboards in which could be applicable h you can enable the caching so that you are don't have a frequent pull of the data when it's not necessary and and you can temporarily um store that data so it will speed up the retrieval especially if that dashboard is used across uh a lot of people and this one is the one that is a little bit forward looking we are indeed looking into the AI capabilities so making sure that we are able in a more conversational way to create dashboards visualizations and then also having deeper insights provided uh to in the visualization and in the dashboards to all the users now which are our Target Persona um system admins uh the system admin for the migration itself is the person that is going to be responsible to actually triggering the full what we call Bulk migration of all the analytics content from the core UI to the new platform analytics experience but what we say is always to make sure that you have your analytics admin or your analytics managers uh working with you uh so most probably these users are the one that are more familiar with some of like the dashboards that there are reports interactive filters and Pa widgets and might know which are the most important ones across your instance or for a specific department or business area so the analytics admin manager will still be able to see the migration Center and review the content in the migration Center but they will not be able to actually trigger uh the migration the bul migration and the business user are at the end of the day anybody that's it's going to be a consumer of your platform analytics content um and they are currently a consumer of your core UI uh analytics content so make sure we are providing a um library and a collateral materials so that you can also um help on the training regarding the new the new ecosystem the new platform analytics experience that your business users will go and um interact tweet after the migration so regarding the timelines um so we are starting with Washington um so the migration and the migration Center is available from any upgrade to Washington so for all the customers it's really an opting Choice um for to migrate to platform analytics uh and it's going to be an opting Choice from Washington sanadu and Yokohama for all the upgrading customers for the net new customers instead from sanadu They will receive automatically the new platform analytics features meaning that they will start in a fresh new instance uh only with the new platform analytics capabilities and what will happen is that on Zer the expectation that once upgraded to Zurich or to a later release than you are going to be automatically moved into the new platform analytics experience which are the suggestions now on the timeline uh definitely on Washington make sure that at least in a sub production or dve environment you test the migration um you test how it works which are maybe some of the gaps and please let us know um like send us over an or like we are going to do session similar to this in the future so it's like make sure that you give us back feedback um of which are some of the pain points that you might have uh and maybe things that you will like to see that will help improve the migration process in in your company uh because all of that will give us time to do still some changes throughout the Yama uh like release but also since part of this is part released through the store also in the store itself um so please test it during Washington in a Dev environment or in a surad environment um and then really focus on through sanadu and Yokohama to perform your own migration um the idea and the hope is that we are not going to be forcing the migration automatically for any customers once we reach zurc or the next release after oh so that's you have the choice uh to actually decide which content to migrate and which content to not migrate and to review before we do the migration for you okay so the different options that we have so we have three Journeys uh one is the bulk migration so it's moving all the analytics content dashboards reports PA widgets and uh uh interactive filters to like in one click um and then it will actually be activating the platform analytics experience uh and then there is the phase approach um and in this case you might have some teams that you want to migrate or some departments that you want to migrate but you don't want to do it um for the entire organization yet uh so you can start selecting some of the dashboards um and migrate those ones into into the new platform analytics experience in case of a phase Mig what will happen is you're still going to have the two two separate worlds meaning the core UI and the platform analytic experience living alongside so there's still going to be a need at some point to do the P migration uh because there's going to be also an update on the menu items that we we will rearrange and um we will um disable the reports and performance analytics menus and we will create menus that are for platform analytics and platform analytics Administration and postpone really uh you're going to have time till some point and this point right now is z so in that case on upgrade to Zer or later release there's migration is going to be done uh I see some questions oh I think I can yep I didn't know if you were going to hit some of these things so I didn't want to interrupt you Olga is doing some answering as well perfect I just saw the one from JP uh and right is like how do we convert reports that are Standalone so not in a dashboards uh so that's is available through the bulk migration at the moment so all the reports even if they are not part of a dashboard will be migration um at this point in time we don't have a phased migration only of R Points um so in case there is any need uh please let us know and we will um understand of the impact okay do you want to get the one from Karen or you g to probably talk to that right yes uh I noticed the documentation says once you go to platform analytics you cannot go back or uninstall it will a clone remove platform analytics since we are not on it in PR uh so the platform analytics experience like the the capabilities and the plug-in um are activated by default since Tokyo um they are more uh evident from Washington because they are going to be part of the all navigation menus H so if you have the next experience UI enabled you could have seen it till Vancover into the workspace uh menu item otherwise right now it will be uh in the all us from Washington in the old navigation structure um so the plugins themselves cannot be uh removed from the instance it's true but if you are testing in a sead or a Dev environment um like I think you can always clone back into that instance I don't know all the details but I believe that you can create a new clone or like reclone that instance to make sure that you are not compromising the system if you have not migrated yet fully uh so let's go to the next slide a little bit on the floor uh so we have um sent a communication regarding the uh deprecation and the timelines uh so you most probably have one of your team members or maybe you have received this email um from from service now about the deprecation um what the next steps is like learn uh get comfortable with the uh information that there are uh and they are linked in the troubleshooting articles in the collateral library and in the documentation and then there are the three options is like activate all content that that's the bulk migration Tri selected content that that's the phase migration and then is the uh postpone so in case of activate all content then it will trigger the migration script and in the migration Center there is going to be a possibility to compare review and then activate the platform analytics experience and once the platform analytics experience is activated then the the menus at the of the core UI and the platform analytics experience will be merged and you're going to have two menu sections instead on the tri selected content uh what will happen and I will show you anybody that actually as a dashboard admin roll will be is able to create one or multiple uh it's able to migrate one or multiple core UI dashboards um and then afterwards that the selected content is done all looks good and you want to move the rest of your analytics content you can do it using the activate all content so the about migration and for postpone as said is like mandatory for Zur release so I will go through the demo and I don't know if in the meantime anybody has seen any other question that I can reply live so well there are a few but again I want to make sure that I mean some of this could be covered so we'll see yeah so first of all I want to show you the menu structure that we are going to have in Washington as you can see there is the classic reports over your menu structure uh we are going to have the performance analytics um that this stays the same with all the menus and indicator breakdown and so on configuration and then instead of having platform analytics workspace over year we have actually updated it to be in this navigation structure uh way more discoverable uh as well as like will help us whenever we we and the customers are migrating to platform analytics experience to be able to find all the search ability and the content through the all navigation experience we do suggest to move to platform analytics experience once you have enabled the next experience UI and especially when you have also deprecated the homepages so we will work um also with uh customers that have not yet deprecated the homepages as well as not move to the next experience UI to understand how we can move towards uh that um journey and then you can also migrate into platform analytics experience perfect now going back to dashboards so you're going to see if you are assistant man admin or an analytics admin me PA admin dashboard admin report admin in the dashboard overview page you're going to see this Banner this Banner is not removable but is in available only for some of the the users and it's not available for all the end users but at least you're going to have an have a chance to get acquainted with the platform analytics experience and what it means so this will redirect you to the migration Center and the migration Center has some information about the capabilities that we have and the frequently asked questions as well as there are links to uh troubleshooting articles and further resources uh so these are the two options available to move all your content and try with selected content I will do for this one the try your content and this one will um give you access to the current corei dashboard list in which you can um select one or multiple dashboards and you can decide from the list over here to migrate the dashboards and these dashboards will then be migrated and will be available from the dashboard overview or dashboard library and you can then see them as migrated version over here so what will happen is that now you have your migrated version and the previous Cori version is now set to um active equals false so this dashboard will be available from the platform analytics Library menu while instead the previous one um like will still be here but it's actually and I think I was opening this one it was marked as inactive so and in uh in case uh and in this case that will not then be available for your users or you can later on decide to delete it remove it if you just have migrated and you want to move all your content before uh we are not forcing that choice on the deletion as soon as you migrate so you can still compare between the two dashboards now I will go into an instance where I've actually already triggered the full migration so what I have done is that I have actually clicked on start moving uh Just for information for everyone whenever you click on this button it actually starts the bulk migration directly we are uh working on having a confirmation message but just for you to know try not to do this on a production instance is sure that you have not yet committed your platform Analytics experience so everything will work the same but it's just for you to let let you know um so whenever you have actually clicked that button you're are going to go into this review phase so in order it will do the migration of your interactive filters uh any interactive filter that you have in the instance doesn't matter if it's part of dashboards or not same for PA widgets reports and then we go to dashboards so that's kind of the order and you can see that there is a fully migrated stab and a compatibility mode so anything that we don't have right now are one to one um new data visualization into the platform analytics experience or we don't have like a component that has the same capability we actually consider incompatibility mode and what happens is that we place a um like a container uh around the classic core UI reports we PA widget content block that is part of the dashboards and we display it inside the new platform analytics experience um so I this is the main tab that you should actually review uh for reports n PA widget uh all show maintain like the same capabilities they still can communicate with the new uh filters as well as they will be able on click to redirect to the kpi details or to the to the list of Records the ones that we are uh really not able to determine what's inside are usually the dynamic content blocks or any of the other C widget or components that were possible to add inside inside the dashboard uh so for all of them we just place them in compatibility mode and then you could assess if those uh configuration still work do that setup still work in the migrated platform analytics experience or not um I will show you how it looks for uh um dashboards that has a couple of PA widgets in compatibility mode in this case this is one dashboards that has some PA widgets inside that are in compatibility mode and you can see from that view link over here you can see which are the widgets in this case there are two workbenches that are part of a tab so if I click on the compare button this is the migrated dashboard so and if I go to process by state then this is the workbench that is the exactly same workbench as the one used in coreui since we don't have a workbench uh configuration and a workbench uh data visualizations in the in like in the new platform analytics experience and what will happen is that on the migration dashboard you're still going to be able to edit the workbench but you're going to be redirected to edit it from the um PA performance analytics widget forms instead of the new visualization designer and this happens also for any of the other compatibility mode content so the reports will redirect you to the report designer and for the content blocks and other like widgets it will actually redirect you to the um to the forms of those uh of those widgets most of the time okay so um yeah I think I can go through some of the comments for now and then um yeah I I marked for you a few questions to answer live so you can start with those cool thank you so I see from Jane um I tested about migration of everything in one of our non prods it looks like everything that was migrated was added to the library is there any way to limit which item get added to the library uh right now um we are keeping it consistent on how the reports and Pa widgets were before so that everything was inside in the library um so right now everything will be part of the library but it's definitely a good point it's like is it maybe a choice that you want to do before for like some specific uh Widgets or like maybe do you want to do it based on criterias of like uh reports created that from only from these users are part of the library and all the rest instead get migrated as part of the dashboard directly I'm not sure if if that could um could work as a as an option for you so right now everything that was as part of the reports and the PA widgets get migrated in the library one options that you have if you don't want to migrate some I think is is that you have this we have added in all the Cori dashboards interactive filters PA widget and reports a new column that is called do not where are you yeah do not migrate in bulk and in this case you could can do some cleanup about which uh so make sure that you set this flag to through for all the content that you might want to skip on the migration what will happen to schedule reports great question I didn't mention but it actually also those are getting migrated um we have a new uh configuration that is for schedule export that is for the data visualization these are not it's not yet uh including the migrated but all the reports that have scheduled uh export connected to them and if they are fully migrated also those will be M also the scheduled export will be migrated alongside instead if there are reports that are still in compati ility mode uh for those ones you're going to still have uh the report scheduled export available okay you want to go with all the ones that you're flagging or just go in order get the ones that you're flagging first I I am actually uh looking exactly of like the ones that Olga is flagging so I can read through them okay so does the migration have to be done in each sub PR instance and separately in PR uh yes so um we we highly recommend to do the migration first in Saad to test it out and see the results and then do the migration again in production we are not able to move the migrated content um between sub and production as well because we are Migra in the um sharing permissions of all the records um and there is like just concerns of like the uh type of content and those sharing information not be moved correctly um and then the one from Louise if we op in in test or Dev instances but leave production for a later moment is possible right yes it's possible absolutely um um what might happen is that you might have stale data in the test of that in that instances compared to production uh but you definitely can just op in in test or Dev uh and then do the production uh in a later moment so uh regarding the other question uh like all guys typing the answer but schedule reports migration just talked about it P script there is no migration for them they will stay the same and they will also be uh configured still in the same way so I think that question there from demo about we have users VI viewing reports and dashboards through the portal how will this be once the conversion happens does anything change how does that work uh great question um so for the service portal we are actually are going to keep the support of the reports and Pa widgets for the service portal so we are still maintaining the capability to create or edit the reports and Pa widgets because the serice service portal will still need to use them um so nothing will be broken um after the migration is completed uh to platform analytics for anything that is using the r reports and the PE widgets in the uh service portal have any other ones flag no I guess we'll just start from Top start from the Toom from the top from the top okay um so I'll read these and then you can just answer them so um with the changes to the application navigator menus how do we access report types that no longer are supported in the inline editor but are supported today and a report designer thinking specifically of some of the pivot reports here uh so perfect so after um after you have activated um then the and I actually will do it now um this is Will activate the the content you're going to see everything that is migrated as well as everything that is considered regarding the reporting and the per performance analytics widget inside the data visualization uh list so everything will be there even if it's in compatibility mode it will still be in this list and whenever you click to open one you will be redirected or to the visualization designer or to the report designer so I'm I'm going to ask only because I I I have a feeling that this will come um after this so noticing there that the type is is blank so what actually would be in that type would it let you know if something previously was a report or a widget yeah well we don't uh specify if it before was a report or widget uh what will happen is that the next time um there is any change on this um like on this item uh then and there is any update and save uh it's actually fixing itself that list uh so you should be able then later to see the um the type of yes yeah uh we we are not able immediately to uh understand the the data visualization but as soon as the data visualization is opened in the visualization designer then it will actually fix it fix uh itself as soon as a change is done okay great but we are going to display your in type uh only the chart types and not if it was a PA widget or a report okay gotcha so next one we have when updating an instance instance the platform analytics plugin does not automatically update to the latest version is this by Design or is there a way to have an instance auto update this plug-in uh so this is is um if it's part if you are upgrading to a family release um officially you are going to be updated to what we call uh as through up or installed by default um and we are releasing other content or other capabilities throughout the store um in quarterly basis most of the time and those by Design are not installed automatically uh in in the instance so there's going to be need of an action from uh the admin standpoint of like updating the plugins okay so Steve said he ran a migration test in a lower environment and notice a lot of dashboards and other reporting elements move to compatibility mode is there an opportunity to remediate also those content blocks that came over most are not usable due to corrupted visual ations um so regarding the remediation um so in case you have not committed the platform analytics experience you will always have a chance to retrigger the migration on top of the new capabilities that we support we plan to deliver in May new support uh regarding migration of um more capabilities pivot charts um Act uh act as filter as well as chart interaction regarding report drill down so we we want to expand and reduce the amount of compatibility mode reports and Pa widgets that we have and you're going to have the opportunity to rerun the migration especially if you are in a sub prod or Dove environment in case you are in a production environment and you have already activated platform analytics experience and we are supporting uh new um like new data visualization or new like capabilities to remove the compatibility mode what we are thinking right now is to have a script in which you could run or that we are running automatically on upgrade um in which you can actually we are going to convert the compatibility mode reports and Pa widgets into the data VIs ation with those capabilities enabled and regarding the content blocks uh I'm not exactly sure how they were built if they were using any of the core UI responsive dashboard capabilities uh so I'm always open to have like a conversation and bring in also the D team um and see which are the options so okay great thank you um another good question here will the report module and performance analytics modules go away at some point if so when for an example in Zurich when it's automatic do those will those actually go away or will they still be around so yes they will perfect and this work so I've activated platform analytics experience and what happened is that now if I type platform analytics I see the platform Analytics this is mainly for the end users that are going to have access to the analytics Center and the library items mainly dashboard data visualization and kpis there are still some role restriction on who can see and create filters and schedule expert and then you have the platform analytics Administration so everything that is still relevant uh from the reports and performance analytics menus after you have activated platform analytics experience from the migration Center will be moved into the platform analytics Administration section so you still have access to creating indicators updating score sheet the breakdowns the job collections information about the statistics and as well like reports and the widgets that you can still use for the service portal okay and then another question that goes along with that is so once you've migrated over you'll still even though you see the reports you can still create new reports if you choose to yes but only if you are a report admin um so we are still allowing um users that have edit rights to the compatibility mode reports n PA widgets to edit them but only report admin role is able to uh create uh new corei reports okay that's a good thing to hear and I hope everybody heard that so that the general user will not be able to create new reports but if you're a report admin then you have that uh ability edit and and so on so great question Colette hopefully that answers your question there uh let's see so any update to reports will also reflect an inactive dashboards so I guess I'm taking that is that if there is an inactive dashboard maybe in compatibility mode if there is an update to that a report that's on that will it also reflect that maybe your ogga can read that differently but I think that's what they're saying I believe that's the understanding and in this case yes uh so uh this is no different how it was in uh coreui dashboards and coreui reports if any change on the saved report is done it will affect all the dashboards that that report is used um that any dashboard that is using that report uh what we are doing as an improvement in the new platform analytics experience and in the new data visualization is that whenever you save uh U like data visualization from the library we will let you know in which dashboards that save VIs ization is used uh so you can decide if like if you are committing that change then you're going to commit the change to all the dashboards that are using that thata visualization or if you want to create a duplicate uh say like visualization instead just in case this question meant something else um if we're talking about on the migration you had old dashboard and then you migrated to the new one and your old one become in active whenever you do changes in the new dashboard in any data visualizations those one will not be reflected in your old dashboard and your all responsive dashboard they kind of live their separate lives from the moment of migration the same is you if you will ever do changes in the old reports somehow your admin have access to it uh it will not get automatically reflected to the new one so it's just like it's a point of time migration so they sync at the moment of migration but then it's two different technically two different records in the different tables like all kind of separate there's no more synchronization afterwards okay great um so uh Roberta asks do you have to reshare the dashboard and respective database DB reports with group users after migrating uh the answer is not um everything that regards the sharing permission it's also migrated as well as if your users or yourself have favorites um inside the um inside the system in inside the instance uh the um the link the menus that were previously going to your core UI dashboards or reports will automatically redirect you to the migrated version okay great um will our charts chart colors ranges and such come over when everything is converted yes yep okay we are still using the same configuration settings so for the for the chart colors and as well our report ranges okay and Jane asks would like to only include certified in library I don't know if she's saying when I click in the library I only want to see certified or I I assume that this is a followup to uh what she would like to migrate from in the library itself from reports and Pa widgets um so I will I will make a note of this and I can understand with the team uh technically if you if you decide to just do not bulk migrate your some of your reports uh NPA widgets that are not for you already like certified um than all of the other content will be migrated only directly on the dashboard instead of in the library great so uh are there any plans to move kpi Builder to platform uh analytics as it is a great tool I believe that the kpi Builder is something that that we have not gone GA fully yet um so there is definitely uh way more exploration and work done on a better kpi Builder um especially connected uh to the new capabilities that we want to leverage with the new um like database and analytics model uh so that it will enable for more users maybe to create kpis as well as multiple level of breakdowns that it's uh not only to have the limit to two as we have right now okay but this migration does not combine with the uh kpi Builder okay great um and you may have answered this already but I'll but I'll ask it just so we can hit again will the end users who own the reports see the compatibility mode and be able to edit the reports that weren't fully migrated uh yes they will they will be able still to see the compatibility mode reports as well they still will be able to edit them and do the reports on the dashboard have to be migrated before the dashboard or if I migrate a dashboard all the reports on the dashboard will automatically be migrated uh so if you do the uh selected content uh the we are not migrating into the library the reports but they are going to be available only from the dashboards itself while instead if you are doing the um bulk like migration then automatically our migration script itself does before the reports and then the dashboard so to make sure that the report that are saved already in the library are connected Pro properly to the dashboards okay great and um so the last session couple weeks ago there was something about published reports is there anything special for handling those I guess if someone did publish a report and it gets migrated how how does that work is the publishing still there publish still there the link still work publishing is not a functionality that we have uh in the in the new data visualizations um it's also a capability that has raised a little bit of like security concerns um in inside the team and inside the company so right now there is in the data visualization there is no published as to external not authenticated users um we are looking of like how to integrate maybe in the future the data visualization into third party Pages uh but there is no current publishing and publish capability to external user into the data visualizations okay great um when you click through a report to a record is it still forcing it to the workspace view when we don't have workspaces activated for that process um from Washington the default R direction from the platform analytics it's actually to the core UI so the ui6 list and forms uh so it will not go anymore to the workspace uh list and form like UI of course if you are embedding dashboards or if you are creating your own workspace or your own experience you can always decide the event and the right direction as preferred okay will users still be able to create responsive dashboards if we want to perform a phase migration also could we prevent users from creating new responsive dashboards but still retain access to responsive dashboard if we perform a phase migration um yeah so let me will user still be able to create responsive dashboards if we want to perform a fa yes if you are doing a phase migration at this point of time we are not removing any of the creation capabilities from the from the users so they're still going to be able to create responsive dashboards as well as reports um if we can prevent users from creating new responsive dashboards um I will say that you could update the ACLS in that case into the PA dashboards table uh what we would like to improve in the future is that when you are doing a at list a bulk migration that you're should be able to say to um like block the creation of Cori content uh till the migration ation is uh completed and done so you don't have any any content that might miss or might be created after you have triggered the migration that you are not considering okay will all report admins dashboard admins and Pa admin will they need to be provisioned for platform analytics admin role um so we have um added and inherited uh kind of the rules the other way around so anybody that has dashboard admin uh role will still be able to uh manage all the new platform analytics dashboards uh and anybody that has the report admin's roles will still NPA admin's roles will still be able to manage the data visualizations as well for the interactive filters uh role we have a new role that should be added to anybody that also has uh the roles uh on the the dashboard admin rules so you shouldn't need to do any other like sharing and we are trying to reuse the existing roles and making sure that there are access to the to the new uh um artifacts okay got a few more minutes we'll see how many we can knock out um are data visualization being created by service now and if so uh how to refresh and get the new ones so that may be a question more about release and new data visualizations that are being created for example like for example the ones that are coming out in Washington and that's that's uh when you upgrade your your instance or if there is a store release that has that and you install that then you'll actually be able to see those so is that correct Marty yeah I will read also this way um we are definitely uh expanding each release or to the store UPS the um visualization chart types that we support we are also starting now um like a program to understand if um we can allow Partners or like customers to add their own visualization in our library maybe as like as custom charts that are created but even in a guided experience of who can create these new charts that will be part of your library so if you are interested in um kind of creating your the charts maybe using the high charts Library uh just let us know is like send maybe Thomas or me a message um and uh we will um have you updated and maybe if there are further testing and limited access availability then we we will include you okay great all right we'll get one last one and then if we have not got to your question please ask those in the community and feel free to tag any one of us uh last one is is there a way to preview contents which will be in compatibility mode before committing to PA and is there a way to revert to active within platform if there are any issues I'm new to this you may have talked to this a little bit but can you preview anything that's going to be in compatibility mode so uh the preview mainly is uh done through the compare um compare visualization every year compare actions that you have um in which you can see which is the previews like the migrated version and the coreui version um as well as you will be able to see this when you are in the fully migrated but also in the compatibility mode um for uh reverting uh there are uh two types of reverting uh one is directly uh from the uh so for example I have migrated uh uh dashboards so you this is one of the one of the dashboards that I have migrated this is already the migrated version we have a new table that is called called Power dashboards um and you're going to be able to have I think I need to go over back you're going to have a roll back capability uh and in this case the you're not going to see the migrated dashboard anymore but you're going to see the core UI dashboard I framed and uh into the um platform analytics experience so I have actually roll back this one uh so as you can see this is actually the corei dashboards but it is ey framed into the uh platform analytics experience and when you click on edit it will actually go and let you edit it as it will be for the core UI dashboard so um there is a way also to uh roll back the entire migration um that's done through a property and uh in case in case there is that necessity we can support you uh going through the the support um uh channels and our uh development and that's kind of the reason why we ask to do it first in Dev and sub production instance so you don't need to go through a full roll back of the migration itself in a production instance okay awesome thank you I'm going to take uh sharing back and yeah so thank you uh Marta uh Olga I know we had a lot of questions today and again if we weren't able to get to all of them please feel free to ask those in the community looks like Mart's typing an answer to another one but please feel free to ask those questions in the community and tag any one of us and we will definitely uh get you an answer for that but this is really great content especially with Washington release now being out there so hopefully this is something that you're interested in or getting to um the platform analytics experience is a lot better than previous so we definitely encourage you to to get there and uh make life a little bit easier and make things look a little bit better for you so definitely keep that in mind so real quickly let me just kind of go through a couple things um so obviously this will be in the community later on today or tomorrow based on when I get the recording and uh it'll be there and you'll be able to get that and you'll you can always see upcoming uh now learning always is uh doing doing new training there was a question about that uh I know that they are working on some platform analytics training so expect to see that hopefully soon um this is a really great uh tool that we have we have an enablement tool kit for everything platform analytics from how do I create this uh what is this what happens when I do this before and after things like that so you definitely want to check this out it'll help you in your journey and platform analytics uh this is a um a research survey that we have going on so if you're interested in doing something like that and helping us out we're always looking for great customers to do that so scan this OR go to the link and or reach out to to ago uh personally and he'll definitely get you on that in two weeks is another opportunity to ask great questions we love these sessions this is in two weeks and we'll have many of our gurus and developers and evangelists on that call to answer questions it is a first come first serve so get in there as soon as you can ask those questions and then of course those questions will be put out into the community with your recordings so you can reflect back on those so we'd love to see everybody in two weeks and with that thank you again Marta Olga and everybody who joined we super love that everybody joins and asks great questions and we're able to provide really good content so thank you we'll see you all in two weeks
