in this video we will explore some of the frequently asked questions concerning the deprecation of applications and plugins within the service now platform did you know that applications and plugins will go through two deprecation phases phase one is plan deprecation this phase allows customers already using the application or Plugin to prepare for the application or Plugin to no longer be available and supported once an application or Plugin has entered planned deprecation it is no longer available for installation on new activations if the application or Plugin has been a part of a subscription it will still be available to current subscribers but will not be a part of any new subscription activations the service now support team will still Provide support for the application or plug in during this phase phase two is the deprecated phase once the application or Plugin has entered the deprecated phase it will no longer be available for Activation will no longer be deployed and will also no longer be included in subscription activations the service now support team will no longer Provide support for deprecated applications or plugins note the deprecated application or plug in will remain active in a customer instance including when upgrading to a new now platform release where can I find any additional information about application and plugins that are in the deprecation process more information is available in the get to know service operations workspace for itsm video on this channel where can I find a list of plugins offered by service now you can check the current list of available plugins by searching list of plugins on doc. servicenow.com [Music] when the page displays in your browser window select the release version drop down to locate the applicable version if a plugin does not appear on this list it may require activation by service now Personnel request these plugins through the now support customer service system instead of activating them yourself note plug-in activation requires the administrator role within service now locate the appropriate documentation if you need assistance activating a plug in yourself or requesting a plugin that you cannot activate yourself to locate plugins within the instance follow these steps navigate to the all menu enter plugin in the filter menu locate system definition select plugin the system displays the application manager screen search for any plug-in you require on this screen
