[Music] hello my name is Ben arenberger I'm a solution consultant here at service now that is focused on our asset management products and welcome to the now platform xanadoo release videos uh this video specifically we'll be looking at EA am uh Enterprise Asset Management specifically our configurable roles and configurable workspaces features within the new release just flashing a quick Safe available to us at the date of this presentation please feel free to Pro pause this video and take a look through that since Enterprise asset management was released with the Tokyo family release we have done a lot to really change the look and feel um along with some of the actual features within aam and as you can tell within the zanadoo release there's a multitude of different product features that we have uh that we're releasing uh for this video we'll be taking a look at the second and third on this list but feel free to take a look at some of the other videos um posted on this channel for the release to get some insight into those features so the first one that we're going to cover today is the configurable workspaces which is really where we're giving you the ability to align the specific assets and the types of assets that anyone would be dealing with whether it's a technician or an asset manager to the specific tailored workspace right so currently this view is the medical asset workspace but also for the OT and Facilities we have their at dedicated workspaces as well now with that comes the the next part of this that really go hand inand is configurable roles right and the configurable roles are where you can have those specific uh roles mapped to those asset classes right so someone from facilities doesn't necessarily to see the you know medical assets or the industrial assets but you're giving you the ability to align those based off of the technicians and managers um day-to-day use let's jump into the platform to see what these new features look like so if you're a current Enterprise Asset Management customer today within service now or this is brand new to you uh we are currently in that Enterprise asset workspace now what and I'm currently in as as an admin but if I go over to my favorites I favored the three new workspaces so the facility asset the medical ass and the OT asset workspaces and within all of these different workspaces we have specific roles that are assigned so for example and we'll jump into what that specifically looks like we are only going to be looking at the requests and the the different work that are being applied to uh to those specific assets right so jumping over to the medical asset workspace we're going to get that custom view saying hey uh we're currently in the medical asset workspace or you know in this case the OT asset workspace where all of the same features and functionalities that come with Enterprise Asset Management just a little bit more scoped to those specific assets and asset types now within the admin Center and I'll give this a second to load here um we have the role to class access um and and what this is doing is it's saying hey where do we want to map the these specific roles whether it's facilities or medical or the OT or industrial assets what's that role uh that we want to assign to these specific class types right so when we're talking about the facility assets right we're looking at facilities but we're focusing the scope or view to specifically the facility assets class so as someone that's in as a facility uh technician or a facility manager um I would only be looking at the assets associated with my facilities and same goes for medical and OT as well let's now go and log in as someone with these roles and see what that experience looks like so to start we're logged in as Nora who is a medical asset manager now what we're seeing and you might think hey those numbers don't necessarily look the same right in this in this view right there's less requests less refreshes and that's because as I'm logged in as Nora I'm scoped down into the range of assets and all of the actions that are taking upon them down to just these medical assets right so if I were to go in and open up any of these cards it's only going to be showing things surrounding those different medical assets so when opening up the asset requests tab here we'll see that the only assets that are populating for the requests are these medical assets right so ultrasound systems MRI machines things of that nature now it's going to also apply to the same thing for all of these different views right so if we were to go to the Work Management side we're going to look at all of those different tasks that are only Associated to the medical assets so for example if I were to open up this first disposal task you'll notice that all of the assets are also Again Medical assets right so we can look at these assets and say all right we know that as someone in this role we're only going to be looking at the assets that are really relevant to our role so this entire framework is also applicable to our OT assets as well as the facilities so let's take a look at what the OT assets uh role entails and what that looks like so now we're in the system as Oliver who is an OT asset manager uh and we're in that OT asset workspace so because I am in as Oliver you'll notice that we don't even have access to the other workspace spaces such as the medical asset workspace because of our role so again if I were to open up the quick link for the asset requests we're only seeing the specific assets that are more in the in the industrial side right the OT world so if I jump into the OT asset estate view for example we're going to be seeing specific things that that are aligned to our entire State when it comes to the OT assets so the warranties that are expiring the requests the refreshes uh and when we go in and actually look at the types of assets we're dealing with right we're looking at those OT model categories right so cnc's uh control devices field devices things of that nature so if I were to go in and say hey let's just group these to kind of see what categories we're looking at we can do that and and we can say hey these are the different types of assets that are visible to myself as an OT asset manager now e uh is really just the backbone that's supporting these views the roles are still come with all of the the great features and functions that uh come with Enterprise Asset Management as you may have seen it before um just scoped down specifically to this so last but not least let's jump in as a facility asset manager to see what that view looks like so we are now logging in as Luna who is our facility asset manager and when we're in this view again like all the other ones we've seen so far in this video we are only looking at the facility asset workspace because our role is for a facility asset manager so if we were to jump over to the asset estate view one thing I'll note here is that all the verbiage has has changed from the different role that we are logged in as right so this is the facility asset workspace where we're looking at those different assets that are applicable um to that specific role as someone that is managing the facilities and the assets that live at those facilities right so if we pop uh an example open of the different refresh requests that are currently going on right and and really drill down into the specific request uh what we'll find is that again like every example we've walked through so far in this video we're looking at specifically the uh the assets that are are are facility assets um and the tasks that have been Associated to that so that will conclude the xanadoo family release video
