Nathaniel served as a Munitions System Specialist for 11 years in the U.S. Air Force, during which time he traveled all over the world. As he was nearing the end of his Air Force career, he knew he was ready to take on a new challenge. That’s when he started looking at options available with U.S. Department of Defense SkillBridge and saw that ServiceNow was a participant. Nathaniel was already vaguely aware of ServiceNow, so he did some more research and says he was almost immediately sold on the ServiceNow NextGen program.

According to Nathaniel, the NextGen program was life-changing for him. In just a few months, he went from working with explosives in the Air Force to becoming a Certified ServiceNow Administrator (CSA). Nathaniel says the program was challenging, but he’s unbelievably grateful to be on this new career path. Transitioning out of the military was a daunting task, but Nathaniel explains that the NextGen program gave him a lot of valuable skills and opened doors for him.

Nathaniel started to apply for jobs in the ServiceNow ecosystem and quickly found a great position. In fact, he interviewed with his current employer while he and his fiancée were driving from Alaska to Arizona during their latest move, and he actually received the job offer while he was driving through Utah!

Nathaniel has been working as an Application Administrator at his new employer for six months, and says he finds the position very rewarding. And he feels that he’s just at the start of an exciting journey. He plans to follow his ServiceNow career wherever it takes him, learning more every day and looking forward to the future.
