Working with a partner

ServiceNow has a broad ecosystem of partners, ranging from large global system integrators to smaller partners with expertise in specific ServiceNow products. Look for an experienced partner that incorporates ServiceNow leading practices into their implementation methodology, and make sure that they have experience with the ServiceNow products you want to implement. If you haven’t already selected a partner, this Partner Finder is a great starting point.

If you want to work with a partner but still want to benefit from the experience and product expertise of our Expert Services team, consider Co-Delivery. In this model, the partner leads the implementation while ServiceNow provides prescriptive guidance and support at key points in the project. In this “better together” approach, ServiceNow delivers:

  • Implementation planning to optimize product usage and deliver targeted value.
  • Architecture and governance reviews to align platform, integration, and data architecture.
  • Design reviews to make any customizations more upgradable, maintainable, and scalable.
  • Sprint scans to ensure leading practices are being followed before moving to production.

Self-implementation

In general, we don’t recommend implementing ServiceNow by yourself. However, if you choose this path, there are resources available to help skill your team and execute your implementation.

  • Now Learning provides a wide range of on-demand and instructor-led courses ranging from high-level introductory education through to in-depth learning paths and certifications. This includes topics such as system administration, implementation, and application development. Many of these courses incorporate hands-on training to give your team actual experience with the ServiceNow platform.
  • We’ve already talked about ServiceNow Create, our library of more than 1,100 leading practices. ServiceNow Create is available free of charge to all ServiceNow customers. You can access all the leading practices and other tools online using the ServiceNow Create portal.

Existing ServiceNow Impact customers will benefit from strategic expertise to help align the right ServiceNow capabilities to the business outcomes they need. They'll also have access to product-specific expertise to create a phased roadmap to speed implementation and adoption—and accelerate results. Impact includes discounts on Expert Services, and it also provides personalized training and learning—including credits and discounts—to help skill internal implementation and operational teams.

Let’s recap

ServiceNow lets you deliver great business outcomes. To achieve these outcomes, it’s critical to implement and adopt the ServiceNow products you’ve purchased. ServiceNow provides comprehensive resources and expertise that let you chart a path to implementation success—whether you choose to work directly with our Expert Services team, work with a partner, or self-implement. By getting started right away, you’ll realize business value faster and lay the foundation for lasting business success.
