Meet Youssef Mahmoud Ramadan Hashem from Giza, Egypt. He became ServiceNow certified at the amazing age of 16! Youssef’s 19 now and is going to college to study management information systems, but he’s already found his passion with ServiceNow.

When Youssef was 13, he was addicted to video games. His father saw this as a great opportunity to teach Youssef programming by encouraging him to write his own video games. Youssef was a quick learner. He wrote a few simple games in Python, and then went on to learn HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Youssef enjoyed coding and wanted to grow his technical skills even further. Youssef’s father was a ServiceNow developer, so when Youssef turned 16, he introduced him to ServiceNow.

Once Youssef got his hands on ServiceNow, his love of problem-solving and developing applications put his learning into overdrive. He started with the ServiceNow Fundamentals course on Now Learning, and then took instructor-led app admin and app developer courses. He followed up with a scripting course, which he says helped him really understand the platform. Now he was ready to try to become ServiceNow-certified. And he succeeded, becoming a CSA and CAD before he even went to college. Impressive!

ServiceNow has given Youssef the confidence, knowledge, and skills to pursue his passion and build a bright future. His father says Youssef is working alongside him doing complex development on the ServiceNow platform. In fact, Youssef has managed to solve issues that other members of his father’s team couldn’t solve. And Youssef has even taught his younger brother Ali about ServiceNow, and Ali hopes to get his CAD this year. Talk about making ServiceNow a family affair!

Once he finishes college, Youssef wants to become a ServiceNow consultant or architect. He’s already got a great start. His father says Youssef has the knowledge of a ServiceNow engineer with two years experience or more. And with Youssef’s drive, we’ve no doubt he’ll succeed!
