How Sean Dudzik’s career has reached for the brightest star with ServiceNow

When you RiseUp with ServiceNow, you find a place where you can thrive, where your talents are appreciated, and your passion is rewarded. Just ask Sean Dudzik. Over the last decade, he’s pursued a fulfilling and successful ServiceNow career and has recently joined a leading audio entertainment company as Associate Director of Software Engineering.

Before Sean went to college, he applied for a job at Best Buy. There weren’t any vacancies on the sales team, but he was asked if he wanted to join the Geek Squad. That’s where Sean discovered his love of technology. So he applied to study IT at university, and he’s never looked back.

Sean’s first job out of school was working at the service desk of a financial consultancy firm. He was curious and ambitious, so he volunteered for special projects whenever they came up. Then, in 2013, he got involved in the company’s ServiceNow rollout, replacing an existing Remedy implementation. This was a perfect fit because of Sean’s service desk experience, and he started to build a career as a system administrator.

Then his career took another fortuitous turn. The company’s primary ServiceNow developer left, so of course, he raised his hand to help fill in. Sean says he thought development wasn’t for him, but once he got his hands on the ServiceNow platform, he realized how much he loved writing code.

Sean took multiple ServiceNow courses to come up to speed, covering topics such as system administration, application development, scripting in ServiceNow, hardware asset management, discovery, and service portal. And it paid off. Sean was now responsible for maintaining the company’s ServiceNow instance.

After lots of hard work, Sean was ready for the next step in his career. He joined Disney Streaming as a Senior Engineer, and was quickly promoted to Lead Software Engineer, working on the ServiceNow platform to build out help centers for all of Disney Streaming’s primary brands, including Disney+, ESPN+, and Star+. His career continued its upwards trajectory, and he became Manager of Software Engineering.

This was the springboard to his new role as Associate Director of Software Engineering at a leading audio entertainment company. Sean is incredibly enthusiastic about the opportunity. He explains he’s looking forward to leveraging ServiceNow so he and his team can develop best-in-class workspaces for the entire company. And he’s never regretted choosing ServiceNow. He says it’s been a driving force behind his career and that working with the platform for nearly a decade has been a pleasure. Almost as fun as snowboarding and riding his motorcycle—two of his other passions.

Isn’t it time for you to RiseUp with ServiceNow like Sean? Not a second from now. Right now. Discover your calling and build a rewarding career doing the best work of your life.
