How to Hide a Tab for a Specific Table in HR Agent Workspace Record Page

In some scenarios, customers require hiding certain tabs (like Details) in a specific workspace for a particular table, while keeping them visible for others.

Let’s take an example:

You want to hide the Details tab for the HR Total Rewards Case but keep it visible for other HR tables.

Make sure you are working within the scope: Agent Workspace for HR Case Management.

Solution and Steps

  1. Open the Case SRP Variant in UI Builder
    Navigate to:
    https://instanceName.service-now.com/now/builder/ui/edit/experience/8ad40be90fe120102208555db4767e7b/ca1b8b0c0ff120102208555db4767e23/6103b475eb3011106eb96bf3a252282b

  2. Duplicate the Variant
    • Click Settings and select Duplicate.
    • Provide a meaningful name for the new variant.
    • In the newly created variant, add a condition so that this variant applies only to your specific HR table (e.g., HR Total Rewards Case).
    • Table [IS] sn_hr_core_case_total_rewards
    • Click Apply and then Save at the bottom

  3. Edit the Details Tab
    • Switch back to Editor mode.
    • Select the Details tab.
    • On the right panel, click Tabs, then Edit, and Disable the Details tab.

Result

The Details tab will now be hidden for HR Total Rewards Case records but will remain visible for other HR tables.
