[#RANT](https://www.linkedin.com/signup/cold-join?session%5Fredirect=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.linkedin.com%2Ffeed%2Fhashtag%2Frant&trk=public%5Fpost-text): I've heard from some folks on the unofficial [#ServiceNow](https://www.linkedin.com/signup/cold-join?session%5Fredirect=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.linkedin.com%2Ffeed%2Fhashtag%2Fservicenow&trk=public%5Fpost-text) Community [#Discord](https://www.linkedin.com/signup/cold-join?session%5Fredirect=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.linkedin.com%2Ffeed%2Fhashtag%2Fdiscord&trk=public%5Fpost-text) ([https://discord.snc.guru](https://discord.snc.guru/?trk=public%5Fpost-text)) - that ServiceNow has said that they will be charging them extra licensing fees after only TEN CUSTOM TABLES in their environment. I've heard that some customers even get ZERO custom tables (please comment if you can confirm). This is DIRECTLY CONTRADICTORY to everything that ServiceNow's then-head of product/platform business, [Marcus Torres](https://www.linkedin.com/in/marcustorres?trk=public%5Fpost-text), told me, when SN was trying to threaten me with litigation and silence me after I posted this article: [https://lnkd.in/gWyBgTpx](https://lnkd.in/gWyBgTpx?trk=public%5Fpost-text)(Although Marcus was pretty cool, and I'm sure he didn't personally know that he was giving out false information - please DON'T harass him.) They are now charging per-table, per-transaction, and (I'm told), even per-megabyte for size limits for certain things! This is why ServiceNow is afraid of [#Atlassian](https://www.linkedin.com/signup/cold-join?session%5Fredirect=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.linkedin.com%2Ffeed%2Fhashtag%2Fatlassian&trk=public%5Fpost-text)'s [#JSM](https://www.linkedin.com/signup/cold-join?session%5Fredirect=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.linkedin.com%2Ffeed%2Fhashtag%2Fjsm&trk=public%5Fpost-text) and [#Salesforce](https://www.linkedin.com/signup/cold-join?session%5Fredirect=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.linkedin.com%2Ffeed%2Fhashtag%2Fsalesforce&trk=public%5Fpost-text)'s [#ITSC](https://www.linkedin.com/signup/cold-join?session%5Fredirect=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.linkedin.com%2Ffeed%2Fhashtag%2Fitsc&trk=public%5Fpost-text). This is why so many companies are becoming desperate to move away from "the platform of the nickel and the dime". I DON'T want to see that happen. I \*LOVE\* ServiceNow. Maybe it's nostalgia for the days when you \*really could\* "do anything", but I feel like \*most\* of that is still possible... for now. Finally, check out the update from today (4/19/22). If you're anything like me (though you'd be wise not to be, just as a general rule), you'll feel \*infuriated\* and misled...
