Streamlining Onboarding: Submit Catalog Requests for Multiple Users with Ease

New article articles in ServiceNow Community · Dec 01, 2024 · article

Managers can now submit a single catalog request (e.g., laptops) for multiple new team members, saving valuable time.

1. Enable Multi-User Requests: Use the “Enable also request for” checkbox in Type specification in the Requested For variable type to allow catalog item requests for multiple users.

2. Role-Based Access: Specify roles in the “Roles to use also request for” field to control who can submit multi-user requests.

3. Service Portal Feature: The “Also request for” field appears exclusively in the Service Portal for configured catalog items.

4. Automated Workflow: Separate cart items are created for each specified user, with the Requested For field auto-populated.

5. Streamlined Requests: A single request is created for the logged-in user, with separate RITMs generated for each user in the list.
