Abstract:

The Service Portal is a powerful web development platform with near limitless possibilities, but many developers aren't aware of how to take full advantage of AngularJS to maximize code reusability and optimize for performance. This workshop introduces developers to these concepts as we build a Reddit style question/answer app step-by-step, explaining best practices and development principles along the way. This advanced level course is suitable for anyone who has experience developing widgets, and is looking to take their portal knowledge to the next level. We discuss the benefits of single-page apps and demystify the process of implementing reusable templates and custom directives into your widgets through live examples.
