[Music] thank you for joining us in performance analytics 201 jumpstart your performance analytics journey I am your host Trisha Cornish I'm a solutions consultant in the now Intelligence Group it's a function of pre-sales here at ServiceNow I'm joined by my colleague and product management Amit Kumar this is our agenda and a lot of hands-on time for each of the exercises within the lab we'll start with a brief overview to give you a general understanding of the role of performance analytics your first exercise getting value with the out-of-the-box content we will activate content that will be used for the remaining exercises in our second exercise troubleshooting your performance analytics configuration that has expected fixes for some of the activated content these first two exercises are related so you'll want to do them in order when we proceed to personalized PA widgets on the dashboard that mostly stands alone setting targets and thresholds is an exercise based on activated content when we go through the exercise highlighting what matters with spotlight that's based on activating content and then performing fixes in the Diagnostics exercise troubleshooting your PA configuration finally configuring text analytics is an independent exercise that can be done without worry about any of the previous exercises let's begin dashboards and analytics communicate results progress and outcomes within your organization but for many companies dashboards and reports are a fundamental task and also considered a necessary evil because pulling together data into a cohesive progress report can be labor-intensive time-consuming and repetitive further in many cases data can be inaccurate or outdated by the time it's reviewed with performance analytics in the service a platform we are going to demonstrate how real-time purpose-built metrics in the platform allow our customers to quickly and easily deliver results surface of inefficiencies and determine real-time progress toward goals what you will learn today in this exercise is how you can see immediate results using native in platform analytics solutions with pre delivered content that is purpose-built for the platform allows you to get up and running quickly and get immediate value from your service down solution if you are new to ServiceNow we want you to see the out-of-the-box capabilities and how quickly you can adapt to those secondly you'll see that you can focus on what matters with the exercises in this lab you'll be able to highlight key words processes and business conditions of an issue for faster resolution the exercises we've selected allow you to pinpoint your troubleshooting personalized dashboards identify goals and surface relevant themes by looking at word clouds finally we hope that you see metrics everywhere when you can embed visualizations within everyday work to facilitate better transaction processing you'll be able to take action on those insights and everyone on your team can make data-driven decisions you [Music]
