hello guys my name is gaurav and i'm the one who post videos on sasswords servicenow channel i really i really want to say thank you uh to all of you to to show your love i think i'm going to i'm going to reach out to 10 000 subscribers soon and and i think it will be a really big day for me so i'm i think it will take uh maybe within a month i will be reaching to 10 000 subscribers and and this kind of i'm going to start just a kind of a short series so i will be coming up with a few few small topics maybe terminologies in service now that's something i'm going to start uh with so currently it's it's uh 3 a.m in the morning and i am just preparing a video for creation of an application in service now that is leave management system i just thought that i would start creating the different applications as well so that you guys will have better understanding uh that how we can uh perform development and service now in different pieces and different elements of service now like business rules client scripts uh so so that's that's what i i just completed so um i just felt sleepy now it's around 3 a.m but but i will continue uh my preparation tomorrow morning as well maybe tomorrow is sunday uh today basically it's not tomorrow it's just today morning so i will just wake up and then i will start working i will just complete this this video as well i'm also working on uh discovery so i think a lot of people have asked me uh to post basically a training for discovery and that is what i am going to prepare just just wait and watch you will get really great videos i will try my best to give you i think that kind of learning so that you can you can have great experience and service now and apply those experiences in into your organization and grow your uh career uh just before i before i go to uh sleep uh i just thought just we will start uh with the first uh first topic a small topic about cmdb so i think if if if you know about servicenow i think it's everywhere that we we always have a question that what is cmdb so if i talk about cmdb cmdb is first of all configuration management database so it's kind of a repository which stores different data related to the infrastructure of your organization and basically that infrastructure um has maybe laptop maybe a computer maybe a server maybe a router maybe a firewall maybe a load balancer maybe an application maybe it can have a business service as well maybe you are providing a service to your customer and you just name that service that is also kind of a configuration item so basically that's what you store in cmdb now the entity which are stored in cmdb those are called those are called as configuration items that's what you call so the entities which are basically stored so if i talk about laptop so that when that laptop record and the information the configuration about that record is being stored in in those tables in configuration management tables that is something we call as ci that is configuration item now what exactly a configuration item is so basically a configuration item can be a physical entity maybe just like a server maybe like a laptop maybe like a computer it can be a logical logical entity as well so maybe if i talk about database instances that is something it's not physical database instances are not physical they're just one of the instances of database so in that case that can also be a ci it can be a configuration item which which you can basically store those configuration informations in cmdb and another thing is any kind of service so if you are providing services to your customers to your internal customers to your internal clients then you can say that yes this is a ci as well that means if you are providing email services if you are providing cloud services if you are providing infrastructure services or different type of services whatever depends on your organization that's something you can you can put it as a configuration item as well so i will be posting these kind of short videos uh which will which will help you to enhance your knowledge we will try to pick small topics and i will keep on talking about those topics i'm also i'm also planning uh to post uh to to come up uh host a virtual meet as well i think i just uh uh posted a comment in my community in my channel community a lot of people basically uh posted that yes they are very interested to do that uh some of the people they have also mentioned that they they they thought that i can do a weekly meet as well weekly virtual meet i would see that how much things are possible because i do work as well so whenever i can get time over the weekend but that's the time i can get some or maybe in the night that's what i'm doing right now as well but it's really hard if you're a family men uh then it's really hard to to find the time uh so that's what i'm trying my best to spread the learning that is also free of cost guys um one of the recommendation which i can tell you that uh do not do not go for if you if you really if you're really interested to learn service now i would recommend don't go uh first for the paid training because i think if i if i talk about myself i never i never paid for uh servicenow uh learning i always i always looked for uh free trainings i i did some some uh trainings but which i got from different different uh companies in my like in my in my career but if i talk about the initial career when exactly i got myself for example servicenow admin certified i never paid to anyone to get that training i just studied from i think at that point of time we had wiki we didn't have this servicenow documentation uh but i i just read it from vicki um i i think i i whatever topics we have in certifications i just uh checked that what all topics i have to learn and that's how i just dedicated myself and and learned it so um if i if i give the right suggestion to anyone don't go for paid training first i would i would recommend a lot of good youtube channels as well which are like free of cost because you don't have to pay anything it's a good platform so go for those trainings i'm not recommending just watch my trainings but you can go for other other channels as well a lot of good channels which you can see and if you're getting learnings from them as well please do watch their videos as well it's it's really good because if you are if we are making a servicenow community i think that's really good in the market that at least i think it's a good opportunity for the people that we are able to spread the learning and at the same time you are able to learn things i would say free of cost in the same community so let's build this community and we we have to make this community more stronger so that people gets motivated and they also spread things so for example if you will learn maybe after two years you can open or you can just create your own channel and start start spreading the learning so let's let's focus on that a lot of people have also given me uh suggestions that why don't i keep i don't write why don't i put a paytm number or maybe the google pay number uh i would i would recommend to those people i i just and i i i really accept i really i would say uh respect your thoughts the kind of suggestions you have uh given me but i think that's something i'm not looking for i'm just looking for the support uh just share my uh channel to your friends to your colleagues whomsoever who are they are in uh servicenow community and and uh and just share my videos like my channel and videos and just put the comments that any feedback if if my channel my videos have helped you to to basically learn something to implement something in your organization or anywhere uh just just try to put the comments so i will be really happy and i will be really pleased to listen that that yes i i was able to or i am able to help you guys and and to support you in your career so
