it's interesting being a leader specifically a black leader specifically a black leader at this time no matter what your responsibility is or your title is when you walk out of your home it doesn't matter [Music] my father was born in arkansas and we are descendants of slaves my experience with racism and these cops you know i was 13 years old they slammed me on their car hood they put my arm behind my back and almost it felt like it was breaking they called me you know what the other officer i'll never forget him his name was officer simpson he made the other cops stop roughing me up i wrote a blog the vlog explained that i'm a black man from west africa who showed up here in high school and the experiences i've comfortable i wanted people to understand my life is very different from their lives i have to admit the draw for me for servicenow was the idea of the dibs culture i think servicenow culture is very innovative it's open to learning there is truth and there is action uh we're loaded with talented believers in that mission that same passion for execution and completion of goals and missions can be carried over into our quest for you know diversity inclusion equality racism and inequality is not something that people want to talk about at work it's not something we should have to talk about but unfortunately we do because we want the world to be a better place there is a way to lead and work and be professional and remain kind and while we are not perfect by any means necessary i think there's a willingness to understand different experiences we will end up being a leader and an example of how you know a big company can place its focus on an important societal issue and and drive change i trust this company i think we're going to get there
