I am writing this article to depict graphical representation of normalization and reconciliation

Normalization

Normalization process compares software installation data, aggregated into discovery models, to a central library of software

Normalization process prepares you for software audits, because now comparison to entitlements is easy and quick.

Following attributes are the most important from a normalization point of view

- Publisher

- Product

- Version

- Edition

Reconciliation

Reconciliation keeps license positions accurate and up-to-date, but before reconciliation you need to know the software you are entitled for, and following is the process for that

And, lastly following is the reconciliation process. Output of this process is the actions to either buy additional software license or uninstall any software that are no longer required.
