Dynamic Translation | Integrate with IBM translation service
in the previous video we learned how to configure microsoft translator as our translation service provider for the dynamic translation plugin now let's use that same knowledge to configure ibm watson as our translation service logged in as system admin we navigate over to credentials and connections to locate the ibm translator connection the connection alias is in the ibm watson translator service book application but we're currently in the global scope we'll change the scope and edit this record to create a new connection and credential similar to the last video you will need the api key and url values of your service account in order to set the credentials of your connection do you already have an account with ibm language translator if not you can start with the free cloud account or choose from any of these options light standard advanced or premium open the language translator and navigate to show credentials copy both the api key and url link each key and link will be different depending on which account you have activated now let's set up the connection we'll name it ibm and identify what type of credential we are creating for this case we'll select basic auth credential we'll name it and give it the username api key the password is the api key we copied in the previous step the connection url will be the same as your ibm account url and that's it our connection credential has been created now we just have to activate it as our default translation service in translation configurations open the ibm connection and click these check boxes to make it active in default now you are ready to start using ibm language translator as your main translation service for dynamic translation for more information see our product documentation knowledge base or podcast or ask a question in the servicenow community [Music]
