[Music] I am Dakota Walker I'm a senior architect here at fruition partners and I'm going to be talking about the purchase order application this application we built custom for a client to keep track of items that they are ordering those items would be things like laptops cell phones etc what they did was before they tracked these items that they're ordering manually so what ServiceNow allows us to do is track all those within a table based structure send notifications and manage it all with it in one tool this application was built on a few different tables the first being that purchase order table that purchase order table allows you to track all information about the purchase order from there there are going to be purchase order line items those line items are the specific items that are being ordered so that's going to track what it is if it's a computer or cell phone and how much that item is and how many you're ordering from there once you're ready to create a purchase order we can generate a PDF of that purchase order with our information with our line items to send to a client or wherever you're purchasing that so what our tool does with a click of a button it's going to send information to a third party tool to generate a PDF of that purchase order and attach it to our record here every time you click that button it's going to go to that third party tool with the information with from our purchase order items and attach a new PDF and that can be sent or emailed out to anyone from there once you've generated that purchase order sent it out and are actually trying to order those items we'll need to track those when they're coming back in so what we have for that is our invoice table so what our invoice table does is it actually tracks the items that are the invoices that are coming back in so our items once they're being shipped once we've received them that's what we're tracking in our invoice so here we can say within our invoice we need this many computers and cell phones and once we've received those this invoice record is going to check those off once we've received all items with on this with a click of the button we can say we want to go ahead and close out this pio so once we're done here this has been completed and it'll close that out from this you can still send email notifications so if needed at any time in the process you can send an email notification out to anyone once this is closed this is going to help just tracking in general instead of manually tracking it's going to help for the clients reporting if they want to go in and report off how much money they're spending on all of these different orders and also it's going to help the CMDB to track all items and when they're coming into the system for more information on how fruition partners can help you elevate service management to the cloud visit our website or give us a call
