I was drawn to Teach For America (TFA) because of its incredible mission: to find, develop, and support equity-oriented leaders who transform education and expand opportunities for all children. But mixed with their inspiring work come the challenges confronting them as they strive to bring out the best in their students. For example, more than 90% of public schools do not have adequate mental health support, and over 8 million kids are chronically absent—and those are just two drops in the bucket of the litany of issues faced by educators.

Encouragingly, technology has the power to help mitigate many of the challenges nonprofits face. And by providing better access to AI and other technologies, we can create a ripple effect to improve the lives of the most vulnerable among us, including those students on the fringes of the education system.

ServiceNow’s Nonprofit Digital Transformation Report, released earlier this year, reveals how technology can either hold organizations back or propel them forward depending on how they use it. As part of this research, TFA Chief Digital and Technology Officer Alan Murray shared how technology can help reimagine the way teachers access knowledge and resources at scale, leading to improved teaching experiences for educators and learning experiences for students.
