Reporting in ServiceNow comes in a few flavours, with varying limitations (depending on the tool of choice).

The 'classic reports' (think create/run module) is great for quick reports you can easily add to a dashboard, and even Multi-source reports to show multiple columns in one report.

However, it lacks the ability to 'report on data that does not exist'

What do I mean by, does not exist?
