This is the fourth video in a 6-part series that goes into detail about reporting. This video demonstrates how to create and use report sources, which are pre-defined data sets for creating reports, and why you should use them. Report Sources applies to ServiceNow instances starting with the Fuji release and requires the report_admin role in order to create them.

For best video quality, increase your player resolution to 1080p.

Things to note:

• Report sources allow you to apply the same report conditions to multiple reports, standardizing your report definitions.
• A report source cannot be deleted if it is being used by an active report
• Revised report sources will apply changes to all reports using that source
